Well I just bought a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP video card after I had so many problems with my old Geforce 6200 with playing this game. It seems to me there is a big bug in this game thats having problems with AGP cards. I've read posts on the net about other people having the same problem with AGP Geforce and ATI cards. I've tried the Omega drivers and the 7.7 drivers but it will not work on my Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP card. I'm really starting to be leave its not the cards thats buggy when I can play just about any other game on the net with no problem at all, I can even play the new game A I O N. I can play the game at high settings and get about 50fps. I want to know, are you all going to fix this problem with AGP cards? Because from all the post I've read it seems to be your game and not the cards. I really want to give this game a try. I've heard that this game is much better then WOW and free as well.

And please don't say that AGP is to old or out of date when I know some ppl are using PCI or on bored video to play this game. And are having no problems at all. Please fix this.

Some online games I've played with no problem at all:

1. World of war-craft
2. A I O N
3. Guild Wars
4. Age of Conan

I'll state the obvious lol, but yeah it seems like PWI might not be compatible with your Sapphire. Have you tried tweaking with the settings for the game to see if it works? Probably a dumb question but one that should be asked anyways just in case. If you have and nothings changed submit a ticket via this link http://support.perfectworld.com/ticketing and see if Tech support can help you. If all else fails just switch to your onboard graphics card that's integrated into your motherboard (If you have one, I personally don't since i have an Asus Rampage Formula motherboard so I had to get a graphics card.)

Ok is your Operating System Crashing? If so then I also have the same problem and yes it has to do with the new patch which causes Operating System Crashes to a lot of people. if you want more info on this go to my thread which is Operating System Crash. If not then forget all about what I mention.

Nope, and to this day I never got into the game. The problem I'm having is that the game crashes to the desktop before I can even hit the loading screen.

well thank you for the help, I've just tried my on-board graphics and the same thing happens. What I may do is try to buy a cheap PCI card and see if that will work.b:surrender

Sapphires are kinna iffy when it comes to playing games, if you decide to get a new one or what not go for this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121293 it's the same one i have in my desktop and it works just fine. I'm not sure what to say about the sapphire. I'm sorry the onboard didn't work. It may just be somethin with the game. If you have to uninstall and reinstall and see if that works.

    err not iffy but picky.

ATI's AGP support in their drivers seems to be lackluster in the last few years, which is why we have suggested some people roll back their drivers.

Having a nice ATI video card that has come out in the last 2 years or newer, and getting it in AGP form, isn't a good idea.

It is like having a Ferrari good to race, parked on a go kart track. It can't use it's best potential or power, which can cause issue IMHO with how ATI writes their drivers for AGP support.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
