How is the Economy Here?

Yo I'm a newcomer to the game and I just wanna settle down in a server where it's not all ridiculous with the economy. So my question to you people the inhabitants of the Lost City Server is if the economy good or overly ridiculous to the point that prices for cash shop and NPC Items are made extremely difficult to afford?

    I play on both Heavens Tear and Lost City and the economies are about the same. If you are looking for a PvP server I think the LC server which has a larger more mature population is going to have a better economy than the only other PvP server Harshlands.

    The coin prices for certain cash shop items are probably 2-3 times higher than they were a few months ago. That makes people who have been used to paying lower prices for Charms and Angels mad. On the other hand some things have come down in price such as the more common mounts, shards and some of the rare armor/weapons.

    But frankly if you are new you probably won't notice that there is anything wrong with the economy.

    Economy sucks, and its the game's fault. PW has now turned into, 'who can cash shop the most'

    Thanks and yeah i kinda have a grasp of game economies. I quit flyff because my servers economy sky rocketed about 10 fold. I learned about Perfect World from an old friend who plays Jade Dynasty in the servers in the Philippines. He said it was good so I wanna give it a fair shake. It seems similar to RF Online though with the game play and all.

    I'll be joining you guys soon......as this updater finishes the heck up.......might take some time......might as well research the classes and the community to familiarize myself so I can slam on the ground running.

    I'm gonna have to make a 1337 Signature for this game too now I guess woot! Photoshop time!

    You will enjoy the game until your high lvl and understand what is happening...then you will realize this game has died and its gms are trying to squeeze every last drop of green blood out of it.

    lol I agree with what you said, but i have to say quitting from games like i have b4 comes u bite you in the backside with new contents that just so happen to come out a few months after, and more after than not they turn out to be interesting or the thing you were always looking for in the game, but it never came when you were, then it is now.

    Just my luck I'm one of the many that happens to.

    Edit: I understand that people think the server has died, but I've took notice in other games I've played, things usually die down, but then after the major clans/factions/guilds disband or die, a whole lot of new ones rise up and a lot of new players jump in. If I were to sum that up in an example I'd have to say most game populations tend to ebb and flow. Meaning just like stocks they rise, fall, rise again, and vice-versa. You'll happen to see this too, people+curiousity+time=change large/small.

    Trust meh I have had several year of experience of things like these. Ya just gotta just go with the flow and chillax.

    If gold doesn't go back down to 200k after this event I don't think the economy will ever recover. PW-MY gold prices, anyone?
