not sure if this the right place but i say it anyway..STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ME WHEN I TRYIN TO KILL A MOB BLOCKING A MAT!!!! i wont steal the mat from you if you there but if there no1 and if im tryin to get and a mob atkin and u jus happen to come stop stealin it and take advantage it me so u can get free stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!b:angry

    sorry to say but asking any of these **** holes to stop taking the mat while ur tring to kill a mob is just gonna get you labled as a whiner.... suck it up a bare with it.

    To devils-advocate - how is someone supposed to tell the difference between you killing a mob to get to the mine, and you just killing the mob?


    Still, mining generates an amusing amount of drama. I just gave guildmates a bunch of my mats I wasn't using. I still got upset when one of them beat me to a mining spot :)

    So true...it is hard to tell. I mean, other players can't exactly read your mind, can they? I don't usually go for a mine when somebody's near it because it feels like im invading their personal bubble....I prefer to wait till they leave. Though sometimes people will just stand by it, and I have no clue what they want.

    LOL the drama those mats cause is amusing:
    Player 1: I want that mat...but I really gotta take a pee, so let me stand by it...

    Player 2: She's standing by the mat....but does she want it?...surely if she wanted it she'd pick it up? (2 minutes later) Guess she's just standing there...i'll take it.

    Player 1: OMG WHY did you steal MY mat!!! Didn't you KNOW I was going to mine that? Don't steal my stuff while im afk!

    Player 2: Sorry...I didn't know. It'll...um...re-spawn in 10 minutes....

    I'm sure I sound like a prick, but it's every player to themself when it comes to farming. I have people take mat spawns all the time while I am clearing, and I do the same thing to people - tho only if it's a mat I actually need and not just a random mat.

    But yeah - it's every man for themselves, and it's only gonna get worse for you. Just accept it as part of the game and move on.

    When I am on the warpath for mats, I usually mine everything and anything I need. If I can get to it, I mine it. Occasionally, someone says something (usually whining) and I just drop a mat behind on the ground - no biggie and it seems to calm them.

    its just mats. X_x' find a magic hamster to gather them for you. Magic hamster doesn't manufacture but gathers mats for others to make him gear. b:chuckle

    thats what I do and also when there is a mat being blocked by a mob you know someone has to kill said monster to get to the mats so simply kill mobs other then the one "guarding the mat" until it moves or till ANOTHER person fight that mob and take it for yourself...
    I've seen some pretty dumb people try to get the mat.
    One cleric actually wasted a speed apoth potion to try and reach it first while a mob was guarding it. b:laugh just walked in and took it while he had to fly out. b:surrender

    also me recommend you mark mat spots and such for future reference and stuff. DX me did but me lost me hamster map. (>.<) then instead of teleporting and wasting a couple thousand coins you fly and gain a couple thousand coins. O.o

    As far as Mats go it really is "Everyone for Themselves" since BH came into effect and ppl started makin' Wines like crazy...

    Venos got it easy just send in a pet to "occupy" the MOB while you mine.

    It's just going to be the way it is for the foreseeable future...

    haha, I kind of hate it when that happens. Someone just comes up to you when you're killing and he takes it. Happened to me once, but I didn't make a big fuss about it. I guess it'd be much more polite to wait.

    i dont mind ppl taking mats out from under me wen fighting a mob on my cleric or veno (dont have pickaxes so cant mine, BM does all the farming stuff) but it annoys me slightly wen 2 ppl run for the same mat(i tend to use cloud sprint) and they get there just a bit behind and they start mining it, im normally like WTF for a few secs then walk off to kill a mob or watever (generally only mine wen i see them i dont go actively looking)
