To lure a boss...

This is just a questin to the guys that made this game.
Well anywho, I like to know why Shade in Secert pass (forgot full name) or in that matter any boss can be lured to a safe zone when its SUPPOSE TO BE safe?
Am asking this since when I was down there Cuz I had to kill demon fires down there for a quest but i was on a break since a few pkers was around. 11mins later I see that shade boss comming to the entrance and fast I leave ASAP as i see that boss. I come back in to see it still there and its fighting the players around, If I remember correctly atleast 6 players got killed from that boss.
Now I FULLY understand a boss should be hard an chase a player to its death Ect..ect..But what I don't get is when someone can't kill it on there own why should he run for his life to the entrance an having the players there deal with the issue? If your in a safe zone its SHOULD BE SAFE!
I like to ask to make it so that if in fact you do run from a boss an get to the safe zone, it WILL still attack you BUT players around the place Cannot attack AND the boss will not attack the other players around like they are not even there. (Unless your in a squad then they can attack the boss).
Just think, If I re-call there was a world boss at jade stone shore and if some jack **** lure that boss to the south and into the town were its SUPPOSE to be safe, I am sure atleast 20 more players will die and that whould be the worst thing that can happen to you in your day in perfect world.
Well thats it, If you read this far then gratz take a shiny buttercup cookie. English is my worst supject so I do hope you guys can understand the point am trying to say to you all. See you on PW guys. b:bye b:victory

That may be true, But it kills the joy of the game if you Teleaport to a city only to get owned by a boss now.0 -

Meh, if I were in a city and a boss wandered in, I'd probably log out if I couldn't get away from it, considering there would be a distinct possibility of respawning right next to it otherwise. If I'm in a dungeon like the Secret Passageway, I make it a point to stand as close to the exit portal as I can since I know there are two different bosses in there that could potentially come chasing after a fleeing player after the rest of their party gets wiped out.0

yes indeed, smart thing to do. But I did say for the idea to stop that is that the player/squad that pisses off the boss will be the ones being chase/attack by it. Therefore, if that last player trys to run to the entracne hoping for "Supportive" back up he will learn the boss ONLY attacks him and no one can help him but "LOL" at his noobness.
EDIT : to make things ever harder for this to happen if you try to leave the place when a boss is chasing you will get a system messegde like this "If you leave, the monster will get out!" so, in other words...you are stuck in hell till you kill the boss yourself! b:chuckle0 -

That's a bannable action.Rurik_Niall - Dreamweaver wrote: »Meh, if I were in a city and a boss wandered in, I'd probably log out if I couldn't get away from it, considering there would be a distinct possibility of respawning right next to it otherwise. You can't log out while you're in combat.
I'm afraid the bosses in instances being lured to safe zone areas isn't a bannable action, last I checked. While AoE bosses in normal map is a bannable action. If that rule is still active, I'm not sure.
Btw, this belongs to the Suggestion section, unless this is a rant.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Well this is more of a questin, I was just stating the facts how this happens and how much it sucks having it happen. But if a GM feels this is in the wrong place then Please be my guest.0 -

Can always log out, one way or another. On off switch in the back of my computer, power and reset buttons on the front, on off switch on my surge protector, if all else fails yank the plug. I stay dead, and I go kill some time playing Sims 2 until I figure the boss should be dead.0

It's more of a problem for people that go afk in safe zones, because they assume them to be safe from dying.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

They really need to make the word "Safe Zone" into "player peace zone" to make the description clear.
I'm definitely sure that catshop is meant to be a AFK feature (what kind of sadistic devs will force player to watch over the catshop?) that means certain zone are meant to be available for them. Safe Zone should serve that purpose, so obviously this is a mistake on the dev part.0 -
I don't understand why it's a bannable offense. After all it can't be hard to make safe zones 100% safe so I assume it's intended to be like that.I'm King_Solomon, from Heaven's Tear server.

It's bannable because some players try to intentionally pull bosses in order to kill others or make them lose experience. Obviously the aggro will not automatically reset once you hit a safe zone, but you can take steps to ensure that you do not pull the mob into one to avoid being reported.

i've heard of players pulling jewel all the way to west archo:P not sure if it's even possible (that is a stupid distance to pull a boss). if it is, i can only imagine the chaos that ensued xD (poor catshops. ) the lag..... the players going "OMG!!!!" the cursing...... oh how i wish i could see itxD0

If someone I mean has a "What if" thing did in fact lured a world boss to a town like aracouse? what whould you recoomend? Run away/ fight to the death or try to find out who led that boss there in the frist place?0 -

I agree on this, they should state somewhere that its only a PK-Free zone. Not a fully 100% happy dandy land where you get free candy! b:chuckle0 -

if i had to guess there is nothing you COULD do if a boss gets in archoxD unless it lacks an AOE attack. (and most bosses have it.) and aoe in archo would mean instant lag due to the attack having to get to COUNTLESS players lol. lag= certain death in that situation.
persoanlly i think it's best to run like mad. altho the chances of you actually getting away from a boss that caught you off guard is pretty slim lol0 -

JUST FLY TO THE SKYS! thats all I got b:chuckleb:cry0 -
Why can't they just give bosses a certain distance in which they'll chase people like regular mobs? Oh make it a little bigger since you'll be running like hell for your life. But just doing that alone would get rid of luring to safe zones. I mean, jewels doesn't need to being able to fly all the way to sundown town, there's just no reason.
Someone on dreamweaver recently lured suzerix all the way to broken bridge village. I mean, that's like halfway across the map! That's insane.
I vote give them an agro zone just like regular mobs. Problem solved.b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

easier said then done, besides if you FULLY read everthing here you whould know of my IDEA to fix this issue.0 -
Changing this really would be a waste of the devs time. There are more important things to fix.
First Safe zones have NEVER meant to be safe from mob only PvP.
Thinking about it from the lore perspective, if a boss did chase you to the other end of the world why wouldn't it be able to go on a rampage in a city?
Finally it doesn't happen that often and the times I've seen it happen it is actually quite fun, there are some casualties of course but usually a bunch of high levels will jump in and waste the Boss.0 -

here's the problem with the whole "luring bosses to town is bannable" rule:
what if you go to attack a boss, or the boss suprises you and aggroes while you're not looking? you supposed to just die when you know for fact you can escape by running to town? **** that! anyone this happens to would naturally run to town and safety, since once you hit safe zone, the mob will lose aggro and go home.
honestly, don't ban players when bosses are chasing them to town, get the devs to remove exp loss while in safe zones, problem fixed b:cuteViper_girl - Heavens Tear wrote: »Changing this really would be a waste of the devs time. There are more important things to fix.

if the red part is true, then bosses reaching town and aoe-**** everyone would not be bannable for the player who got chased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

How about a simply method of adding a chasm, a moat and a tunnel around every city so that no kind of boss can come in only player? For non-elf newbie city don't add the chasm but instead a bunch of super awesome guard that aggro-on-sight any monster.0
-
Well I HAVE said if you go to a safe room the boss will ONLY attack you/Squad and no one else in the town, if they die the boss will simple telaport to his home or somthing. This way going to a safe zone will not be abuse AND stops anyone from whasteing other player's time.0
