Well after enough time of seeing how difficult it was to get tt80 armor and hearing enough trash talk about it, I'm going to go with 3★ armor.
I'm planning on sharding everything fully with average citrine shards, better if I can find them (like a beautiful shard I have). My question is: will that be enough HP? People's opinion of "enough" on these forums seem to be considerably higher than what I have for my level (77).
I have 1995 HP (unbuffed). I have citrine shards in there as well as a garnet shard and sapphire shard. I didn't think of it at the time of sharding, I was just using what I had. I have, however, been complemented on my high survivability with low HP.
EDIT: Light armor, btw.

You must have terrible gear to have HP that low. b:shocked Anyways, don't get HH80 gear, just get the 78 mould chestplate, the 69 mould leggings, and give them decent refines/sharding.Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

I don't know...but that seems extremely low in my opinion (especially for LA).
I'm the same level as you and I've got 2670 HP unbuffed and I'm pure mag.
I didn't add a single point to Vit, and the only vit I have is from equips. Rest of the HP is from shards and a few refines. I've only refined some of my gear to +1 or +2 too.
and my HP is only considered average.0 -
I don't know what I'm doing wrong then. I have tt70 chest and pants, 3★ boots and bracers that add +3 vit. Everything except wepaon, pants and bracers have a citrine shard in them.
Anyways, what I wanted to know is if sharding all my 8x gear full with average citrine shards will give me enough HP.0 -

Wizards who get 3 star usually are arcane armour. If you're a la wiz get the 69 pant mold and 78 mold top and 78 mold wrists0

I have pants of hades (70 leg leggings), steppenwolf (77 leg shirt), 3* boots and an arcane helmet that gives + hp. I have 3080 hp unbuffed. Just refine your legendary stuff a bit and put some shards in it. I dont know if you are planning on doing rebirth, but I noticed having 4k hp buffed really helps alot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

What would you guys recomend to get as a torso peice? I'm a level 54 arcane. right now I'm using a 2* sacred tortoise[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Usually anything is fine under lv 70.
You'll be fine if you stick with +phys res and +vit bonuses. I used the lv 52 Legendary Pants of dragon scales until lv 70 and stuck with mainly quest gear at around lv 50-60.
Also, get protection necklaces/protection belts as opposed to elemental or ethereal if you're arcane. It helps if you can get +vit or +hp on those too.0 -

It's most likely the gear I will have at level 80 (lvl 73 atm). Ornaments/helmet could change if I find better ones, the rest is pretty much fix. Cape of Tauran is nice but pretty expensive, so try to get a cape with +hp/pdef bonuses and at least 3 sockets if you wanna be cheap.0 -

I had 3.5k hp unbuffed from 80 with bad refines and only died in rebirth when double wave came and I was watching a film
2k hp is laughable, period

Agree on ornaments, though he posted he will change them if he gets better ones. Cape isn't that much of a waste anymore. Saw one +3 with 4 slots and flawless shards in AH for 6-7kk 2 days ago (yay BH and anni packs). On the other hand I didn't see any lvl 40+ cape with 2 +hp mods and at least 2 sockets within the last 4 weeks.
So at least on Harshland it's atm a choice of patience/cash b:shutup

I like the -3 channeling and +5 magic more than the +30 hp and +1 decr. phy and 63 pdef, that's why I'd rather go +3 on the necklace of legion to make up for the tiny bit mag. def lost ,though I don't think that bit is worth the effort.
I haven't looked that much into the belt-question (using the token of seven belt atm) but I have at least 66% mag def everywhere fully buffed whereas my pdef with sundown pendant would be 63% and with belt of earth 65%. Is the +110hp what makes it the better choice or is sundown way cheaper?
Got tired looking every day since 4 weeks into catshops and auction house not finding any suitable cloak, that's why I decided on the cape now. Money isn't a problem for me right now.0 -

I'm using 3* and just weapon is TT. + super cheap -6% channeling. armlet made from mold. I will do refine armor at my last 99lv end game armor. From level 90 I will use TT armor which I decompose at level 99, because you need soul from this armor. Till level 90 I have just normal gear. I didn't spent 1 coins for refining. You don't really "throw it away". You can sell refined gear as well. You probably won't be able to get all of the money that you spent on the refines back, but it'll be enough, assuming that you make some money along the way.
Also, I don't wanna know how much HP you have if you never refined anything before...
Getting from lv 80 - 90 is takes longer than getting from lv 1 - 80.
To be honest, I have a harder time selling 3* items on the AH than if I sold some refined legendary or TT gear.0 -

I don't want to sell 3*. I will decompose it to 3 mirages. Also I didn't buy my 3* gear. Everything is just drop from Bounty hunter. I was saving money for TT 90. And I have all material for manufacturing armor right now. Now I just maximizing my skills and buying shard and dragon balls.
And my HP is 2350 I'm almost arcane in vitality aj have 31 points. Gears is filled up with citrine shard what dropped from mobs. So maximum level of shards is common. And also not every slot is filled, just 1/3.b:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Yes majority of gear is bad: G5 shards since i was a poor hobo, helm was cheap, rank ring sucks too as do boots, but as you can see its pretty easy to get over 3.5k hp with mold stuff
Can all be resold nice and easy though and since up to 86 is really quick is rebirth then fish to 900 -

Better armor = for me more fun in the game. Im not going to suck **** by having bad gear during 80's and have like no fun till I am 90. But I am not a fast leveler, so I enjoy my gear longer than average.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Look we are too weak for PvP so for PvE we need just normal 3* gear. Is much better to maximizing skills because they are so expensive. If you are pure you don't have problems with normal mobs anymore. Mobs even don't touch me, barely just 1 hit. Better is saving money for end game gear. Depending on how strong u wanna be at ur late 70s all the way to 90. I used dark pants of hedes , 3* boots, armor of grieving sorrows, blood bracers of fang (something like that). Some are average cit, some are beau, and only about 3 flawless throughout. Some refined to +4, some +3. Hp around 3.45k Unbuffed.
From 70-78 just use 3* serendipitous plate with good hp stats. 3* LA wrist with good hp stat too. Use these 2 until ur lvl can use the legendary ones.
With 3.45k HP unbuffed u wont ever have problems with gamma, unless ur Barb is suckyLove Is Complicated.
