Blade or Axe?

Im new to PWI, should I make a BM using Blades/Swords? or Axe/hammers?, currently which class of BM is better?
And which skills look flashier/cooler, Blade or Axe skills? i can't decide >.<

    While it has been answered many times, yes Axe is the way to go because of the AOE and stun abilities that they have. Axe tree has a total of (two 99% stuns and a 50% stun, as well as a total of 4 AOEs). But we BMs are a versatile class, we do not just stick to one skill tree. Possibly after lv 60+ you will see most of the BMs splitting to two trees, either axe+swrd, axe+pole, or axe+fist.

    For the specific areas that a tree of BM is better, please look up the sticky. i believe Lyndura has done a great job in listing out the pros and cons of a BM as well as the skill / stat allocations.

    i dunno. i tried out the BM for swords, and they were pretty bad at first :( my suggestion: go with axes and maybe, if u really want to, u can branch off. personally, i find axes pretty fun:)

    depends. blades are great 1v1 but axes just flat rock all round.

    yes axes are cookie cutter builds but they still do much more than the other weapon users of the BM class.

    I personally like Axes for Aoe grinding, high spike dmg and stun lock in PvPb:victory

    figured i have got enough dex to hold a -20% req stat of that bow. 218dex*0.8 = 174.4 dex

    I use my Unicorn bow almost all the time in PVP. lol

    it might work...but it really tears apart the bm idea...bows are for archers, blades are for blademasters (don't know why fists count as blades).

    aww its all one sided, axe skills are better in general, but i think the 2 spark sword move looks really flashy and its really strong

    You can always go both paths xD

    I was an Sword BM till 80 then with the crazy amount of sp you have at that point i maxed Axe too. Result? A fun hybrid BM to play b:victory

    And b4 you say anything... both weaps are maxed (well some sword skills no because u know...pfff... *looks at Mage Bane*)

    axe/spears

    the build per lvl is:
    str-3
    dex-1
    vit-1

    its easy and user friendly ^^

    also the equation per lvl is:
    str = (ur lvl)*3+2
    dex = (ur lvl)+4
    vit = (ur lvl)+4
    i'm the one spinning in their chair, eating a ring-pop, wondering y the world hates broccolie so much... but loves it w/ cheese O.o... mabye we all should wear cheese to be better ppl. (Yes!!.. One more step to RUULING the worldb:thanks)
