Price guides?

Hi, I'm new, obviously, and I was just wondering if there are any good guides for item prices on the different servers. I tried searching so sorry if I missed it.

How do you sell your items. Should you always open a catshop/auction? If not, how good should the item be before you consider selling to players? If it's not good enough, do you decompose or sell to npcs?

Also, more specific to my current situation, how should I sell low level items on Heaven's tear? I understand most people zip right past these levels in relation to higher levels so they won't sell for very much at all. How should I price lvl 1-3 stuff? Should I decompose/how much do the lowest chi stones sell for? I was thinking that I might get more money if I decompose all the stuff since chi stones are useful to everyone for genies and stuff.

    Prices are always changing, there is never a stable set price for an item.

    It's the basics of supply and demand. Although if you want an idea of how much an item is worth, always check the item in the Auction house.

    Yeah, I kinda guessed that there prices varied when I couldn't find a guide. Anyway, the price guide first paragragh was really the least important of my questions.

    I know about the auction house and all and am planning on refering to it in the future, but looking at it right now is kinda useless at my current level of game experience. I'm still figuring things out, so looking at a bunch of top tier items doesn't really help.

    I know the auction house is generally for the top items of each tier, and what I was more interested in asking is how to price the lower tier type of items, that aren't really worth auctioning. If youre given an item, at what point do you npc/decompose it, at what point do you open a catshop to sell it/is there a general guide on what to price this level of item (ie 2x npc price or something), at what point is it good for auction?

    Also I guess this is post was a price check on yiyuan chi stones (lvl 1), just to see if it was worth it to decompose lvl 1-3 items rather than try to sell the items themselves.

    prices are varied in the auction house depending on the bid. the prices of the cat shops can be low and high also which makes cat shop a problem.

    You can expect to get a return of 0.6-0.7 stamina per coin for dropped gear you decompose (in terms of value of NPC'ing an item). If you can get stones at a better rate than that off other players then sell the gear, if you can't decompose.

    Yiyaun stone give 40 stamina so you should spend no more than 55 coin for one.


    Even at low levels you should be checking the AH, dont spend a lot but you should be able to get 1 star gear cheaper than vanilla NPC gear.

    The simple answer is that there is virtually nothing in the low levels (below 20) worth Catshopping or AH. The time you take to try and sell them you are better off just grinding and levelling. Pick up everything and just NPC them. Keep the best gear you can use for yourself NPC them when you find something better.

    The reason for this is that the value of the drops you get at higher levels increases dramatically so if your goal is to make money, get to level 30+ as quick as you can. Then you will start to get drops worth Catshopping or putting in AH.

    You should take a look at the "Money Making : How to Do It" thread if you haven't already.

    As for not catshopping below level 20, I have to disagree. My veno made some nice coin selling a ☆☆Charmed set and some other stuff at the lower levels. Though I agree that it's usually not worth doing the Auction House at low levels.
