Veno Mafia??

Ok, "veno mafia" was what an archer guildie dubbed a small group of high level, insanley rich venomancer our server and according to him, they've managed to obtain scrolls from the chests in dragon temple which have "super" phoenixes and hercules.

My archer guildie is known as a very reliable sorce, known as the "online PWI wiki" to some. However, this claim has me swimming in doubt :P
(He dosen't like venomancers and is always too happy to prove they're overwpoered and what-not, i'm thinking this might a little white lie to back up his side?)

If you're some other class reading this don't instantly jump to conclusions and scream "overpowered." I'm asking any other venos, or players you might know whether this is true or false. Apparently the hercules is so powerful it allows them to solo world bosses, and the phoenix is so powerful.. well you just want to hope you never see it in pvp.

It just sounds a bit too much like a paranoid veno hater story to me, unless it is true, which I kinda hope it isn't. We'd be too overpowered... .__.

    PW making something obtainable in-game that would render a cash shop item obsolete (no matter how rare the in-game "item" may be)? Tell your "reliable" source that he's full of ****.

    Edit: A reputation for honesty and reliability does tend to be useful for making lies much more convincing. If something sounds too outrageous then don't believe it no matter who you heard it from.

    There is a lot of pretty OP skills that drops in Dragon Palace. Remember when a nix was pecking me for 500 than suddenly started doing 1.7k each peck just molesting me lol, had no clue what was going on til i found out it was an attack skill from dragon palace.

    I think the skill your friend is referring to is "Blessing of the pack" tho, which will give hercules 25% more hp. Same skill as nix has but you put it on a tank pet, that allows the veno to solo bosses in TT that you normally need a barb for. I'm pretty sure a high lvl herc with blessing can tank some of the easier WB, but will prolly get **** by most since WB still uses debuffs and armor break.

    So its a bit OP - as a rare skill should be tho. I know people thats been trying to farm blessing in DP for almost 1 year soon, they still haven't got it, Only 2-3 Hercules on Lost City has it - after 1 year of farming.

    this, only bless is 30%. if i can ever get it i will, this is the ultimate tank 2nd only to a "good" barb which seem to be in rather short supply

    Herc with blessing of the pack can't tank any world bosses, not by a long shot. It can't even tank Polearm in fb69. It's been tried and proven.

    Your server fails then bc I have first hand experience killing almost every world boss in perfect world with nothing but one herc with blessing and multiple venos healing....

    As for this 'Eilite" squad of venos.... yeah they exist. They were the first ones to jump on the TT mat selling wagon when they were the some of the highest levels in the server. TT mats arent so lucrative now though....

    But I think Sadpuma might be right. It's rumored in Heaven's tear that a veno can do a wb. I don't know anyone who's tried it.

    A handful of my veno guildies can TT solo a majority of the TTs.

    Polearm knocks physical defense to 0. A herc with blessing should have enough hp to not die in one hit. Therefore it should be able to tank it, now... whether a single veno has enough healing ability to keep it up on polearm or not is another story.

    Btw, polearm hits for 2308 - 5386, 5387 hp with blessing would mean level 90 to have the hp. Without blessing it would take level 118 max depending on how the level based mitigation factors into having 0% physical resist. If you use lightning chaser though, you can do it (assuming energy can keep up).

    Other WBs, I don't have first-hand experience with, so no comment.

    There are some easy WBs around which can be soloed, probably by non-venos too. I've never looked for them, so can't comment further.

    lol, Let's say that a HIGH LVL herc with Blessing of the Pack can tank a world boss then.[Perhaps 95+ ladies?(men?)]

    I don't believe Mothergoose or I can go busting in for Shadow doll with a lvl 88 herc with Blessing and really expect to get anywhere.

    In fact, I'm not sure of which Venos in Sanc's server run around with Blessing. I'm sure, however, if one of their hercs tanked a WB, the WC would've been spammed with the news.

    Not saying that it isn't possible. I'm not a veno that acknowledges the limitations of said class. But, I haven't heard of it being done on my server just yet. If it can be done, though, I know what to farm for next for my lovely fat Tumor. b:chuckle

    there's no veno mafia. any decent group can farm the chests at temple of the dragon. send some people to keep the pkers entertained and no-one will disturb you. last time i've been there saw a 6x veno taking some of the chests.

    1. there's no xp loss for getting killed.
    2. no penalty for pking.
    3. mobs hit hard but don't regen hp.

    Cancel spells like Lightning Chaser can enable Hercs to tank Polearm. Despite people paying 40-50m on Blessing for a Herc, an Eldergoth Marksman with Protect (5-10m) has a better shot of tanking a World Boss since their melee atk is typically much stronger than their magic. Mine held up for a few minutes straight on Shadow Doll at level 89. I'm 90 now and may try again.

    b:cold This skil isnt that good as what u expected.
    I tried this skill on my lv100 nix.
    hits mobs 12k-20k dmg.
    hits a robe class at same lvl 1.2k dmg (flesh ream 1.4k per tick)
    hits a melee class about 800-1k dmg

    so ya..i removed it ,and added back flesh ream.
    I dont think this skill is worth replacing HP buff skill.
