new frost is FUN FUN FUN

Is it just me or did they make that boss a WHOLE LOT bigger?

FF Runs are SO much fun, I completed it last night and went from about 3% to 18% in ~3-4 hours. The bosses are great and super fun, I solo healed the whole thing, we managed to easily get through with just two deaths, on two separate occasions, one where a BM got decimated by random aggro boss during a lag spike, and at a later Debuff boss and aggro was being tossed around between our 9x archer and 8x barb, my lvl 8 purify wasn't fast enough as the boss double debuffs, i.e. even if you purify, debuff is back up and you must keep him alive while you wait on coolddown. The Barb died but he was back up and buffed immediately and we continued.
of the Run = 1 shot mobs that give 1500 exp per we got something like 47.

Our Party was:
Me - Cleric - 81
Axe BM - 82
Pole/Axe BM - 82
Barb - 81
Archer - 92

This party made it an EASY run, and remember guys Items actually DROP here, yesterday we obtained FF85 Green LA leggings and Green Polearm( The ~+11 Vit and +160 some hp polearm)

Needless to say this is lucky, but the experience and the fun you will have is TOTALLY worth it!
EDIT: This was NOT on double Exp weekend. I am so pumped for next weekend.....

Another Note: If you are not an LA cleric...and/or don't have high channeling(-27)/hp(3.5k unbuffed) and a HIGH level of Chromatic Heal...do NOT TRY this. Seriously hahah I know 85+ Clerics who die on the 3rd or 4th boss.
You can almost never BB as mobility is a huge issue, you NEED the sparked chromatic heals, at least lvl 7 to save your party when the bosses do 75% of their HP in one aoe shot.

I know this is geared for 8x players, but at 76 (maybe at level 75 can't remember) you get some FC quests. Most people I knew before used to just trash them. Is it possibly now for a squad of 7xs to do those quests? Or more possible for a 7x or 2 to hang out with some 8xs on a run. Would it be worth doing now or should I still trash those quests?

I thought the frost update was still to come...but I guess I could be wrong.

the run was fun. I think the funniest part was not knowing the tricks that each boss does on your squad.

My party and I did it the day of the maintenance (we were curious) and it must say it was fun..

Though if bosses would drop a little bit more coins at least that would be wonderfull

Had fun completing w/o a barb, developing strategies and making things work when it appeared we were at dead ends.

Most important part...developing strategies. This was the first time I had squadded with these folks, and the first time in FF since the re-vamp.

This was fun, I agree, but I don't think it will maintain it's enjoyability. I actually don't even care to go back, it was fun to do it once though. The bosses are very similar to WoW, repetitive things you have to do to avoid instant-death, constant debuffs, and aoe's all over. I've been exposed to a lot of that so it was nothing new for me. If you have not played WoW extensively this will be new, and very fun, and difficult. But...I do give credit to the developers for finally coming up with a boss that does not entail "stand still, start your macro of repeating ironheart, go afk and come back in 10 minutes"

I highly recommend doing this as soon as you all level up so you're all near 0%, bank all your dolls, and do this blindly without a guide. If you have a guide you will probably not die at all, but it will also not be as fun. This is probably your one and only chance to have actual fun pve'ing in this game. Figure it out on your own, you'll actually feel like you accomplished something instead of the usual feeling of bosses. "That was it....?? Lame"

Personally I had a blast on our Frost run. We laughed over our deaths because we had no idea what any of the bosses were going to hit us with. As a cleric I would definitly suggest going in with maxed purify and a macro for regular buffs.

Can't wait to run again!!!

go beat 86+ GV then give me a call about this "fun"

its not fun at all, this game is bleh but I would try it once like tryagain...just to say I beat it. Only thing iv yet to complete in game other then hit lv 105 yea **** that 92 is enough

We did have fun, especially when everyone's scattering to avoid whatever AOE the bosses were throwing our way.

91 and 70 BM, 89 and 93 WF and another 71 EP. Some ppl died a few times, but it was a challenge and exciting not knowing what was coming next (some attacks I have never ever seen b4). I think vent is a must so u can coordinate attacks.... and laugh at eachother.

PS i use event mp pots and didn't use that many. ~4 hour run (be faster next time when we know where to go and what we are doing)

also *we should try running it with just the 90's cause those 7x jerkfaces gimped our exp >.<
