Everyone Disappeared

Hello (:
I have one little problem which is bugging me a lot,
when I was in Archosaur, I clicked the button for "Best Performance"..
Everyone else disappeared and I was able to move around Archo easier since it wasnt lagging that much. However later on, i noticed the button wasnt activated, but everyone was still gone.
I kept on clicking the button and walked around, and they only appear when they are near to me. However I do not get to see other people if they arent very close to me.
Is there a way to fix this?

    Open up system options/settings. Second tab. Drag the bar "distance" to the rightest.

    There's 3 buttons to the right of the best performance button. The middle one should undo what best performance did. Part of the problem is when you leave best performance on and log off or dc or anything, your settings are stuck in best performance.
