Yes, Smack is a great skill.

other skill, dragon bane better when you are level 89 and get your 3rd spark
All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring.

For Smack, I must say that mobs run away as soon as they unseals, so it's kind of a pain.. (so I never use it now)

Haven't tried dragon bane yet, I'm hoping it'll be better than smack.

Actually, it costs 20 apoc pages on top of the 1.1 mil coins for the ink and 1 mil spirit. Seeing as how the event's made them dirt cheap though, it's not so much of a problem anymore...
And smack is very good in PvP, the seal hits before the end of cast (kinda like WoF on wizzies) so it cancels any spell your opponent was doing. Plus 18 meters range, and much higher power and range than drake's ray.
But no, it sucks in PvE if you're fighting a mob 1v1, since it makes the mob flee. But if a ranged person has aggro, it helps a lot in preventing damage.
Dragon's bane is useless unless you have a self-purifying pot or a cleric to purify the debuff. Then it becomes awesome. Five minute cooldown though.
