Things to look out for...

Dear Wizard Community,
I come asking for knowledge. I am an LA wiz level 22, just discovering how confusing Argosaur(SP?) can be. What are some things that I can occupy myself with as I do all these quests? Cuz I've heard you shouldn't grind until your at least 35 or 40.
I mean like genies, manufacturing, dragon quests?, gold, boutique, mounts, dungeons, etc, or things that I might not even know about the game. There are still things I don't know. I'm going in for endgame as quick as possible and want to have a considerable amount of knowledge on every and any aspect that can make me better. Blessbooks? Shards? Powders? Mats? Everything! Thank you all who give advice. And I don't mean 'level level level' cuz I plan to do just that, I mean extra things to do on the side to earn money or just benefit my character in ANY way.
And if anybody has an idea on how I can make my LA wiz so powerful that I can completely destroy waves of people like a giant monster of death, please post as well. I'm in it for the long run.
PS: Congrats on rising tide. Can't wait. :P

Well first of all congrats on choosing a wizard, in the long run you've made a very good decision For tips on how to best do a LA wiz, pandoras guide is very informative, as well as the I believe *streaker's* beginners guide. Although all of the sticked guides as well as Seraphs have lots of great information.
As for the other stuff, go the the Beginners guide section of the forum, and there are lots of threads and stickies there that hold lots of information.
There are lots of genie guides on this wizard forum with debates over which skills are best for us. The two agreed on universally are Tree of Protection and Extreme Poison, although for your part of the game ToP is your first priority.
Apothecary is a good manufacturing to do for yourself, others are optional as chances are you'll jion a guild where there will be plenty of people with high level manufacturings to make what you need.
Gold is something that you can acquire through the Auction House or for real money. 1 gold = 1 dollar. Silver are cents. Mounts you'll either have to wait until you're high level and making lots of money, or if you invest some real money.
No one really has bless boxes the only one I know of is the one you get in dungeons now. Use it love it.
I personally don't do dragon quest, I sell all the items I get and that's my main source of income. Although, do your banker quest BEFORE you sell the required dragon quest items.
When you start finding mid mats keep them, others you can keep for gear you need to make, or you can catshop them to other players for income.
Every 10 levels starting at 19, you will be required to go into a dungeon as a continuation of your spiritual cultivation these are those Fbx9's that you've been hearing about. You'll get a bunch of experience and MAYBE some nice items. Usually your higher lvl guild mates or people shouting in wc will do them for you.0 -
Allow me to add my tiny bit of info to this lot.
For manufactering, I'd advise to focus on apothacery (as already said). For you're lvl 1 apoth, try making life powder. +50hp/sec is alot for wizzies, it can save you're life if you expect lot's of dmg.
Life powder costs golden herbs and nectar, so unless you like some other remedies, those will be the ones you should manly gather. A good place to try farming herbs is near the veiled tower, it's nice and quite there and there are about 4 of each in the area. Herbs 'regrow' every 10 mins.
After you've got lvl 2 apoth, I'd advise you to make focus powder (+50mp/sec regen), and for the fast mp boosts, jade powder (+3000mp over 30sec). You should check wich mat's you need at the apothecary, I can't remember them :P
Than the confusing maze called Archosaur. In the upper right corner of you're screen, below the mini map, is a button called 'coordiantes assistent' it gives you a list of the NPC's in the area, and double click on a name highlights it on the minimap. Use it, love it, it saves alot of time walking around. It also enables you to fill in the coordinates of things, like those next to an NPC's name in the quest lest. Try filling in a couple and plan you're route, saves walking cris-cros through the citty.
As for quests, you should simply try to do all of them. Now that you're in Arch (short for Archosaur), you play together with all 6 the classes. As wizzie, try squading up with a barb for the challaging quests like the culti quests, and ask the barb to tank for you (tanking = taking the hits while the deamage dealer (DD, a wizzie or archer) kills the mob. That way the fragile DD doesn't risk dieing and the tank can kill things faster). Also try to ask for cleric buffs (ask nicely and the're usually be someone who helps you). They rock.
Than shards. Don't bother buying them right now, as you'll switch gear pritty quick (cause you'll gain lvls quick). Sharding you're equipment with high lvl shards would be a waste of money right now. Same goes for refining, save up you're celstones for the later gear.
One last thing: expect money problems. Wizzie skils are terribly expencive, and the only thing that can keep you from spending all you're money on skils is spirit shortage XD.
Check the guides for info on wich skills to get and wich to ignore9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -

well arent we the optimistic one?
or perhaps you are just upset that they have a bunch of new cash shop items that everyone wants - thus driving up the gold prices to an extent where those who don't own land from TW's cant afford it from game coin alone.
if one simply ignores those items and realizes that they are NOT at all necessary to the game, one begins to have more fun.0 -

Just so you know it effects the pvp servers a whole lot more then the pve servers due to the fact that in pve u have a choice of going into pk mode + they have cute drama kos between some of them.0 -
Gold prices arnt the problem, could careless. Problem is people are getting impossible items from the cash shop.
Where is the fun when you can buy the best gear? where is the fun when you can buy lvls? where is the fun when you can now get everything you would normally need to work for from the cash shop?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
