    Don't bother. Stick with the FB69 sling and save up for a CV95 gold bow... -_-

    got mine as a present , mmh i mean half : my wife (lvl 90) (im lvl 64 XD but atm i make a playing break till octobre) got 2 golden spirit. so she gave it to me XD
    golden spirit is the biggest prob. try to get this first. Ah and farm farm farm mid mats, you need 18 usub, so u need 90 of each mat. the klunky swords (20 you need) should be no probleme, 20k. and the iron bars are 100-150k i think. but the bars u can get urselfe

    Does W&C really last that long? 80→95 is a long way o.o

    I know I'm getting a soulsmasher, been working on it since lv70. But I have to keep in mind I probably won't be staying on pwi long enough to see lv90+, so it's worth the effort for me at least...

    WC->88xbow->anything->CV or
    WC->FC->CV

    You would only really get soulsmasher because it's
    1. Your definition of near EG weapon
    2. You have lots of coins to blow and throwing 8mil-12mil as soon as you equip it doesn't bother you

    In the case of 1, there is actually no reason to consider this EG now that you can get CV. Prior to the pack, CV was 3rd stop (or may be 4th) to being the "ultimate" and only existed on LC servers (very few, and HT might have one or two). It was my most achievable goal (even though it is hard, it's much more realistic than 8jun/WS) but now the packs have obliterated the "goals" making playing meaningless. I'm not here to discuss blah blah I quit [insert reason] but that's my take on why the soulsmasher now is NOT a desirable weapon to hold unless you fall in category 2.

    CV base stats > My CHS+7 and I feel as though I could of made a better investment had I known PWE was going to throw out FC + CV gear.

    edit: forgot to address your "not going to see 90" issue. imo, get the FC Broadland bow. Sellable, much better than CHS+6 at base. Chances are you may come drop in every now and then in 80s->90s+ and so if you ever do hit 90+, CV is in reach as you can sell FC for a sizeable chunk of coins.

    edit: actually not sure if it's sellable, but anyway FC>>>CHS

    I easily sold feng's iron bars for 300k the other day on sanctuary. They went back up in price.
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
    Full of work and full of play-
    I dropped the worry on the way-
    And God was good to me everyday.

    Indeed, and golden spirits are no longer sub 2.5mil.

    The materials needed easily accumilate to 10mil+ now (6mil minimum just for 2 spirits, 10 bars about 3mil+ total, 18 subs 75k each... unicorn+klunkies are trash so about 1.5mil total)

    edit: FC frost sign probably goes for 15mil on sanctuary atm. If you're going CHS, FC is in reach. Good luck!

    I'm currently a level 79 archer and have been grinding for some time to build up the funds for the Soulsmasher. Finally I have enough coin to get the Golden Spirits from the Mysterious Merchant and the event happens...

    b:angry

    Is the Frostcovered bow that much superior to the Soulsmasher? I really like the -.05 interval on the Soulsmasher and can't wait to get rank 4 gear. I'm also operating on a limited budget since its not easy getting green for an archer. I have terrible luck at drops... b:cry

    FC:

    CHS:
    http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=11f107d963bbf205

    For simplicity; a CHS +6 breaks even with the FC base bow...

    FC>CHS b:bye

    edit:
    using myself as a template, you can see the difference more clearly.

    FC: http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=002ef09bf194c223
    CHS: http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=1c0aa218bcb628af

    It's pretty much 1k min and 1.3k max (FC) vs -0.05s interval (CHS)

    sorry what is FC`?

    to the soulsmasher:
    i bought mine 2 months before now
    i got the spirits for 2,5 mio each, the iron bar 150k each. The klunkys, 20k, not much. I bought dragonbow for 500k (good price i think) in auctionere. so i stayed under 7,5 mio.

    FC is Frostcovered City. Our frozen neighbors to the North who export beer and hockey to... wait that's Canada.

    Wow I simulated my gear and the FC bow is much better than the CHS. Now the problem is how would one acquire one? Is Frost only open to level 85+ players now or would I be able to sneak in with a group with a 85+ leader?

    Either ways 80-85 is not going to be a fun grind session now. b:cry

    Thanks for the advice Legerity! b:thanks

    I got 90 chips for like 500-600k yesterday.

    4mil to turn them into the mysterious merchant for gold spirits, run HH2-2 a few times for the klunky swords/fengs iron bars, and then farm subs which I do a lot anyways.

    It's a good bow and should last until I get my binding radiance at lvl 90
    The only way to win is to quit. b:bye

    Of course... your FC will reduce its damage when it activates and your CHS will increase its damage when it activates.

    If I had an FC bow, I think I would like a backup weapon for when I was fighting monsters which ignore physical defense.

    Wouldn't something that ignores phys defense have no affect with the self "debuff" of the relentless proc?

    And depends on what you're killing with the bow. Grinding wise, you wouldn't really care about the self debuff unless you're being hit by multiple SA mobs.

    PvP wise... you'd have to be a little cautious and develop tactics to ensure suvival (like the Frenzy genie skill).

    ...

    You get the bow via the anniversary packs. If you "farm" the mats, expect a good 3 months or so for anything gold in FC and 6-12 months for anything gold in LG (assuming your squad can deal with LG).

    I know someone who bought the FC-force item for 12million. I would rather spend 12million on the FC bow than 8mil (for simplicity use 8mil, since people use chips for spirit) on the CHS. The FC bow is sellable and I base that assumption off my friend's Aquadash which is not bound.

    Like I said, CHS is less desirable now. If you like it, by all means manufacture it... but there are much better "investments" to make. 80-85 goes by real quick if you RB of have a +5 W and C. To top it off, with BH you won't be in the low 80s for very long.

    @Legerity: You have a Broad Land, haven't you? (If yeah: wanna trade it for a ninetail mount?)

    @all
    Crimson Horn is common, but it's really really really good. Gloom is very Nice

    Broad Land is not so common, is it?
    I read the Effect from Unrelenting, and i like Gloom more.

    1. No I do not. I am also not from HT so even if I did that trade will not be able to go ahead.

    2. I also like gloom more, however, I would much prefer the FC bow simply because as I mentioned, a FC +0 = CHS +6 and is sellable.

    Proc wise, both bows will have an increase in damage, but one reduces mp while the other reduces phys defense.

    PvP wise, you'll probably die really really fast to an archer (crit or without crit) with unrelentless. Other ranged classes are magical with the exception on a few skills from various classes. I don't really think a phys def debuff will make this a bad bow; it'll just require different tactics when engaging in PvP.

    And again like I mentioned, PvE wise, unless you're tanking a phys def boss, it should matter little.
