Help with skills!!!

I am new to this game, and I was just wondering that, when I level up if there was anything I clicked that would bring me to something where I can choose a skill.. or do I aquire skills and attacks (or is that the same thing?) with higher levels... also I hear about something called spirit, can anyone please help clarify what that is.. thank you all :)

    talk to a wizard NPC (from my understanding that is what you are, via your avatar) and he/she will show you all the skills avaliable. Spirit is what lets you choose skills to get /level them up. around level 80-90 you should have all the spirit you need.
    oh wait it looks like your a cleric/archer. in that case talk to one of those npcs. you can find them on eather side of the pool by the plume elder

    were on the same server so i can show you where

    Yeah, the short version is that you can "buy" skills from one of the trainers of your class type for a combination of spirit points (SP) and coins. The selection of skills that you can buy for your class depends on your level, and in some cases, some other prerequisite skill being bought. Most skills have 10 levels of that skill that can be bought. You can see what skills you can get by looking at the Skill Tree through your Skills window.

    Spirit points are earned by completing quests, killing monsters, and manufacturing items. They're like experience points, except you don't lose them when you die and you can spend them on skills and a few other things (for example, genie levels and genie skills).
