Our Current Status

This is addressed to all residents of sanctuary,


So it's here. The one year mark of a game that brimmed with so much promise when we first made that character and looked around the environment. The visuals were stunning for the fact that not a dime left my pocket. The music was foreign and yet somewhat pleasent. The characters were customized to the exact specifications of our imaginations. I looked wandered around for an hour, exploring different mobs and places and trying to absorb the annoying "?" box that gave me the how-to to everything.

One word would define my intial experience with this game: Excited.

Then came the lvls. The gear. And even my first faction. I observed the first TW bid made by Nefarious and remembered thing.. what in the world is that? I kept playing moving on with my friends who I made through my first faction and chatting excitedly about our plans for our first TW. I remember the taste of dissapointment as we got outbidded for the last slot for a lvl3 territory (PvE). I remember the feeling of exhiliration as I stepped foot for the first time on the TW battlefield. I remember the surge of adreneline when I saw the VICTORY sign for the first time.

One word would define my experience at this point in my gameplay: Addicted

I moved on from my faction to one that advertised a high level of dedication to end game content. Here I met some of the most dedicated and hardcore yet fun loving players I have ever met in this game. I remember being dragged to a 2-2 high at lvl 61 and thinking WTF am I doing here. I remember being dragged to do a WB with only 2 people. I remember doing more TW with only 20 vs 50-60+ and WINNING. I remember learning to build my character to provide results in game and learning all about the ins and outs of this game. I remember getting on vent for the first time with a group of people and joking and laughing and strategizing.

One word would define my experience at this point in my gameplay: Blessed

Then the dark times came. This magnificent faction, one that I will always hold in my mind as the one faction that I truly belong to, collapsed. With the factions collapse, I saw the first stages of the movements of the big 2 on the map. Slowly but surely, the colors began to fade. And months of moving around the community I saw hatred. I saw smack talking. I saw disdain for everything the big 2 did. At one point I got pulled into the hype. I screamed and yelled right next to the ones who called for "justice" but did NOTHING. Then I awoke. Awoke from the foolish idea that anyone or any group of people would actually do something. I saw, people leave one by one, for various reasons. And all the while, amongst the quarrels and petty arguements between the people of sanctuary, the big 2 only grew bigger. They were talked about night and day, of how someone should stopped them. How SOMEONE should try and stand up against the forces of "evil". But nothing was done.

One word would define my experience at this point in my game play: Tired

And now here we are. The map is at a brink of becoming a single color. And yet no one does anything. People will yell all day in the forums. Others will point fingers at these people and call our their faults. It has become a game of finger pointing and name calling. Funny as it seemed at first, it is just becoming sad. That is why, after careful consideration, I decided to remove my involvements with this TW business. Things wont get done. Why? Because people seem only concerned about a phantom map RESET. I don't think it will happen soon if ever. Why? The smaller the percentage of people have access to ingame coins, the more people will be forced to find another outlet for purchasing neccessities, ie. charging zen. And I dont think this is any of the GMs fault. They are mere watch dogs of this game. Someone higher exists that feed these people. And through their actions, we can only see how much they care about their player base. I wanted to just strictly focus on PvE and accumilating gear while playing with friends. Thank you PWE for taking that away. Thank you for removing all challenge in the game and letting me know, no matter what outlet I choose to spend my time in , real life or virtual, effort is only second to the size of my wallet. And thank you Sanctuary for the fun you gave me earlier this year. It was fun while it lasted. I will continue to play just for the sake of reaching my last goal of 100. But it is said and done.

I have lost faith in you sanctuary. And I have lost complete faith in you PWE.
