    Gush

Sage: Sage version increases slow effect to 45% and increases duration of slow by one second.
Basically, its effect goes by 5% which is about 0.25m/s if the target is unbuffed with speed movement raise and slow effect lasts 1 more second, it adds a little extra time for you to cast a Glacial Snare or Sandstorm on the target before it hits you.

Demon: Demon version gives an extra 600 damage.
Now, I'm a fan of damage, that's why I'm a Wizard, so any extra damage is welcome, even thought it's not amazing.

My opinions: Demon, because I use gush as a support, not as a status causer.

    Glacial Embrace

Sage: Sage version always increases Water resistance to 150%.
Same as Pyroshell, but pretty good on Water mobs instead, pretty awesome for grinding Sushi.

Demon: Demon version always increases mana regeneration to 15 points per second.
This Demon version is awesome for grinding any kind of monsters, you can stay much longer without meditating and when you do meditate you recover a lot faster.

My Opinions: I have to say Demon, much better to save pots/time.

    Hailstorm

Sage: Sage version grants an extra 3160.0 Water damage to frozen enemies.
No, this is not a 33% chance of critical hit. It's a 33% chance to deal a bit more damage on the target, not very usefull, since 33% isn't a good chance and you can't spam this skill.

Demon: Demon version increases chance to freeze to 50%.
This is actually good, because us Wizards need more Seal skills, so even a 50% Freeze with sucky damage isn't bad. You can use it to start on a Fire mob, then you'll have 4 secs for a Glacial Snare.

My Opinions: Demon, for sure, a freeze with 50% chance is always welcome.

    Morning Dew

Sage: Sage version gives a 10% chance to fully heal the target.
10% chance is the same chance as you have to get 1m out of a Golden Box, the difference here is that Morning Dew costs nothing to cast (Except MP) and Fully heal a Target is VERY good.

Demon: Demon version also heals the target over time, recovering 200 HP three times at three second intervals.
This means it heals 600 HP over 9 Seconds, or 75 HP per second, I like it.

My opinions: Demon, 10% chance just doesn't seem right to go Sage.

    Wellspring Quaff:

Sage: Sage version gives a 100% bonus to magic attack for 15 seconds.
If I wanted a 1st Spark, I'd use a 1st Spark and not WS, so no thank you.

Demon: Demon version gives a 20% channeling speed increase for 15 seconds.
    Extra Channeling! Ding ding ding

My opinions: Demon because of Channeling.

    Frostblade

Sage: Sage version increases effect duration to 30 minutes.
Instead of lasting 15 minutes as usual, it lasts double time, big deal, it's still just a blue hand for most anyway.

Demon: Demon version always increases bonus damage to 50%.
So it takes half your M. Atk and puts it into regular attacks. Not bad at all for a buff.

My opinions: I think my Physical attacking friends will like demon.

    Glacial Snare

Sage: Sage version reduces enemy Water resistance by 20% for 15 seconds
Same as Sage DP, only worth the bother against Fire Mobs. Also, Glacial Snare takes exactly 15 seconds cooldown, so GS Sage only gives advantage to BID and Gush (And hailstorm if you use it)

Demon: Demon version has reduces channeling time to 2.1 seconds.
A regular GS takes 4.3 Seconds to fully cast, with this upgrade, it takes as long as a Sandstorm, pretty usefull I'd say.

My opinions: Demon gives extra Channeling and GS has a terrible Channeling time, so I vote Demon.

    Black Ice Dragon

Sage: Sage version gives a 50% chance to increase magic critical hit rate by 30% for 10 seconds.
Wow o_o Tell me this is not good and you get slapped in the face.

Demon: Demon version gives a 20% chance to cast without using a Spark
Pretty much like any other Sage Ulti, Boring!

    My opinions: Sage BID FTW!

    Water Mastery

Sage: Sage version always increases water damage by 25%.
Same effect as any other mastery.

Demon: Demon version increases critical hit rate by 1%.
Same effect as any other Mastery.

    Stone Rain

Sage: Sage version reduces channeling time to 1.6 seconds.
Now I've gotta say this is a pretty good reduction (0.4 Secs), we're a very slow casting class, and any -Channeling effect is welcome, wouldn't you agree?

Demon: Demon version gives a 20% chance to stun the enemy for 5 seconds.
While the Stun effect may be very unlikely to happen, if it does, you can pull out any ultimate you want in those 5 seconds, even a MS to stun the enemy for some more time!

My opinions: I like both, but Sage really hits a point here.

    Stone Barrier

Sage: Sage version always increases Earth resistance to 150%.
Another +Elemental defense, but this one seems worthless because no Wizard with a bit of sense is going to grind on Earth mobs.

Demon: Demon version alway increses physical defence to 150%
Extra P. Def is always welcome for PvP whether you're AA or LA or even HA

My opinions: Demon, as I said, extra P. Def is always welcome, and Earth Defense not so much.

    Pitfall

Sage: Sage version increases the slow effect to 20%.
Pretty much like Sage Gush, still useless.

Demon: Demon version increases freeze chance to 33%.
Pretty much like a regular Hailstorm, small chance and very useless.

    Distance Shrink

Sage: Sage version reduces the Chi cost by 10.
Good for Chi Saving, as most Sage Skills.

Demon: Demon version increases teleport distance to 30 meters
5 more meteres away from BMs and Barbs, not bad huh?

My opinions: Demon, between 5 meters and 10 chi, I prefer 5 meters.

    Sandstorm:

Sage: Sage version adds 5 more seconds to its Debuff.
I always found Sandstorm's Debuff very useless, unless you use Evasion ornaments, so going sage for this one just doesn't seem right for me

Demon: Demon verions adds extra 1200 damage
Woot! More damage, I like it!

My opinions: Demon because of damage.

    Force of Will

Sage: Sage version adds the 3 meter area of effect.
When you go sage with FoW it becomes a very small AoE, usefull with ganging mobs to kite.

Demon: Demon version reduces cooldown by two seconds.
Usefull fore a more likely spam of FoW

My Opinion: Sage seems more useful here.

    Mountain's Seize

Sage: Sage version has a 50% chance to cast at a cost of only one Spark.
    Same as Sage BT.

Demon: Demon version extends range by 5 meters.
Basically, it becomes the skill with the most extended range you have.

My opinion: Range isn't bad, but Chi is still better, so, Sage.

    Earth Mastery

Sage: Same as any other Mastery

Demon: Same as any other Mastery

Ok, why are you making a guide with only the first three skills (easiest skills to get) and barriers (one of the hardest type of skills to get)? Do you know what u need to do to even get them? Do you know what lvl you get them? Couldn't you of edited (or asked mods to delete) your first thread you made of your guide instead of making a new thread and putting the title "Editing Guide" on this one? If you planed to make a guide as you go along it would be better if you got the the lvls required to experience (i mean experience on real servers not private ones) sage or demon and then finally publishing it.

    doesn't matter.
u still don't have anything new to say.
every idiot that can read and click a link can get the same information from ecatomb.
And what u have in that "guide" is nothing new. There were countless discussions about those skills until now.

I can imagine how destructive would be Sage + Demon duo of wizards on TW b:shocked

Like: Demon stuns enemy group with Hailstorm and gives Sage time to cast his BIDS.

    Etc, etc.

Btw, how big is AoE of Hailstorm at lvl 10?

go watch some of Haiz's videos if you think a group needs to be stunned to get an ult off. On top of that, BM's are meant for aoe stun.. hailstorm is not exactly reliable.

    Sounds fair enough.

And I've seen video of Haiz, it's *amazing*. Not only for kills count but for survivability, I guess wizard at this point isn't that squishy at last b:pleased

Going back on topic, I'm almost sure I'll pick Sage since it just fits *my* gameplay style.

I wouldn't say Demon is worse, it promotes different gamestyle and it will surely fit some of mages.

but CeliaZ I never said demon sucks at all ever in my entire PWI life which happens to be only a little more then a month and I know I don't have the experience to say so but in my own opinion having a no chi cost distance shrink would probably help me kite and stuff more.
especially when running away on my aerosword b:shocked

it ends up going like oh no im being chased *takes to the sky*
    *distance shrink*
    haha im running away~
