September 2nd, 2009 @ 3:00pm PDT will mark the one-year anniversary that Perfect World International has been open to the public. For those who have been around then and even before (in closed beta), what's your opinion on the game thus far? What adventures have you had in the first year of operation, and what are you looking forward to in the next year(s) to come?

I remember stumbling upon this game by chance on opening day, and have been hooked ever since. This was my first mmo since 2003, and I must admit, the free-to-play offer reeled me in. But the ability to fly anywhere, the character customization, and the adventures in lowbie pvp, fighting bosses, and shiny weapons made the game pretty fun for me.

I'm glad I started making TW videos last year to look back upon my adventures, lol. It's funny seeing the names of those I used to play with/against and reminisce about the good ol' days when gold was selling for 100k and TWs were regularly 3 hours long (go UnLimited!) b:victory

    I maintain that I think I level slow...although this often turns into YOU LEVEL FAST....

    But I like the game...This is actually my first online game...others I have stopped at like level 5 b:surrender

    Lately it has been a bit boring at times, but with this Anniversary, maybe some things will open and some fun things will be going on.

    Sad though...if they do something during the day for the 1yr...I will miss it since I will be at work b:sad

    ive been here since CB , best f2p MMO hands down, the economy is probably the worst, but overall is the best f2p MMO in any other aspect

    I agree. This is one of the top MMO's I have ever played. Our economy is in the gutter though >.<

    Honestly, this is one the highest characters I have in any mmo. There's only 3 other MMOs I've played that made it to this high.

    I started this game when it opened on september 2nd and many people such as Red Rose who started like 4 months later are around my level or higher =(

    I think it is because I was never a huge PvP'er.

    Most people that I have passed, I find that they have spent a lot of time on it.

    I decided to wait till I was at a level where I could compete (sometimes....b:chuckle)

    I found this game only a few days after it opened to the public. It's the only game I've played (although I wasn't on much last November/December, and a lot of spring) for more than two weeks. b:victory Before, I never played for more than maybe half an hour a day, and now I spend most of the day (some days) on.

    Yep, the day PWI opened to the public was a historic moment. I was around from CB and its one of the best MMOs I've played since I've sticked with it for a whole yearbb:pleased. And its gonna get even better, who knows what Perfect World is gonna pop out next! Fantastic job PWE teamb:victory.

    I've been around since the day the forums opened, and watching the game evolve over the last year has been very interesting. Watching the player base steadily grow larger and larger has been great too, because it really shows how successful this particular game has been.

    I'm really looking forward to what comes next for all of us that play.

    I started the very first day of open beta. I remember early days in Lost City back when things were interesting.

    i have been around since... um......... february? Maybe March. The one thing this game showed me is how great free trading is.
    Ill get real about training once i have a fraction/ new classes pop up

    wow, one year later.....

    this game has come a looooooooong way from a year ago as both a game product and from an operational standpoint (how its run).

    Its been a great run and no doubt there will be many more annual milestones that PWI will celebrate.

    Been here since the open beta, a year ago.

    Didn't join the forum until Feb 09 was too busy playing lol.

    A lot has changed and most for the better, this is the only MMO I have ever played but love it to death.

    Can't wait to see what come next and hope for the missing features to be added :)
