How To Aoe Grind Fo Rizzeal!

Alright, ive heard from many barbs asking on how to properly AoE grind, ill start by posting a text guide, and add some screenies later.

thing joo gonna neeed:

1)Hp Charm
2)Mp Charm
3)Slam
4)Firestorm
5)Swell

make sure you get the aoe skills as high level as possible before starting ^_^

also, speed pots help alot

Teh Guide Part

1) Go to an area infested with physical, and ONLY physical MELEE mobs, magic mobs/ranged mobs will get you killed, dun lure em

2) Scout the area, get familiar with where the mobs are/spawn, and how fast the mobs move

3) Now we start, drop down at one end of the area, and get ready to lure

4) start luring mobs, now this is where it gets tricky, you ask, How do i get 40+ mobs together without losing agro? simple i say, SLAM! yes, this is your best friend, you want to use slam on the group of mobs tailing you every 6-8 seconds, or youll lose agro

5) Lure em up, when u slam, make sure to use beastial rage... or w/e our chi building skill is, its important you have these sparks at full before you try to wipe out your lure

6) when you got all you can handle, you want to run in, slam, then run back out STRAIGHT, so the mobs kinda close in on your in a frontal attack, make sure no mobs are behind you or on your side, because swell and firestorm wont be as effective.

7)after you run back and AS THE MOBS ARE RUNNING AT YOU, use beastial rage again, then double/triple spark,

8) swell, firestorm, then slam,after you slam, run back a bit so the mobs run at you in a frontal attack, yet again, swell, firestorm (if you can) slam, rinse and repeat

9) omg! 40+ dead mobs! boooyyaaahhhhh

Now remember these things

ALWAYS use beastial rage to keep your chi up, even when ur using skills to kill teh mobs

WATCH YOUR HEALTH BAR, we are barbs, so dont be afraid to lure a hellton of mobs, we can handle 2x,3x the amounts bm's can. when i was aoeing, my lures alone consisted of 2-3 minutes of luring, i lure so many mobs, my slam killed some before i was done luring. MAKE SURE IF YOUR HP IS LOW, TO SLAM AND RUN BACK, TO GIVE YOUR CHARM TIME TO REGEN

this is exspensive, but its faster than a BM's aoe grind if you find a nice little spot to aoe Grind

    Nice guide, but could you perhaps give a few good examples of where to do this?

    As in

    60 - 70:
    70 - 80:
    etc.

    Also, have fun taking those screenies in the middle of Mobbing b:chuckle

    things i don't need when i aoe grind:
    1. hp charm
    2. swell
    3. firestorm
    4. slam

    things i do need to aoe grind:
    1. mana charm for convenience
    2. smexxy wizzy
    3. frighten
    4. beastial rage
    5. sunder
    6. surf impact
    7. the occasional roar for grabbing the odd mob that the smexxy wizzy crits

    no hp charm needed for the barb no mana charm needed for the wizzy even with a mana charm on the wizzys charm will rarely tic. on average 10-30 mobs die in the space of time it takes to kill only one or two mobs. at end of grind both sell up an repair split coin 50/50 an u both better off for it.

    I grind in Tiger form. Occasionally I'll go to Humanoid for a slam or firestorm, but more often than not I'll just use Sunder to a) bleed the mobs and b) recharge some HP.

    Is it worth building up my AoE skills at this point? I'm not saying that what's in this guide isn't true, but I doubt its effectiveness tbh and I don't want to waste coins and spirits on what I could've put in my passives.

    its up to you, its very effective, doesnt make you loads of money, but its a quick way to level

    Actually, if you are talking about 3rd map, it can be done without hp hiero and it has been done without hp hiero. Maybe you should know how to play better huh?

    I'm talking about 3rd map, I don't think he is since he's saying mobs hitting you for 300-500 or w/e lol. But 3rd map is easssssssy grinding without charm.

    Grinding on 40 mobs that hit you for 300-500 is just dumb and waste alot of hiero for such a minimal exp at lv90+. GV is so easy now that no one grinds anymore anyways. Also You forgot we have tree of protection now which basically makes hiero useless in grinding.

    I know. Not many people have 3rd map on HL yet. So the grinding is kinda nice with the peace and quiet. ;)

    At high LVL 100 HP can be recovered every second at that LVL and barbs have high HP recovery rate already, there is TOP. There are skills, protection potions, damage absorbtion. Ok I forgot to mention damage absorbtion powders. Your just saying fail because you can't deal without charm?

    I am not saying charms are bad, infact I used them too sometimes, But its not good to rely on charms all the time to AOE. Charms are good to use, even food and apoth is good to use as well. Just always make sure you have access to heals as much as you can.

    Mobs doing 300-500 per hit? use damage absorbtion and other pots and they would do much less. That lasts for 30 secs. I am saying with apoth can be done. I didn't say "don't use charms" can be done without charms sometimes. Also you got invoke the spirit and defensive genie skills (if you do have) Charms would be great with apoth too for even better AOE b:bye

    Me LVL to 90? Hopefully I continue this version I will be soon either in this version of pwi or the next. I would be LVL100 or at least 99 to get all those skills and gears.

    P.S: maybe your flaming me these days coz your a high LVL and i'm a lowbie?? Sorry, my barb is mid LVL, looking for someone to look down on b:chuckle, be a little more productive other than say silly things. Soo.... b:shutup <--- lol'ed taped. I don't take what u said serious b:chuckle

Yes What I posted it can be done with MP/HP recovery powders alone wasn't a smart idea, i forgot to mention other apoth items and HP food.

    I mess up even as a mid-LVL, its ok, but at least I am not a LVL90+ that don't even know how to AOE. I do make sometimes, and learn from it, like everyone does. But you act like morons on a the PVP server calling people on PVE servers carebears (i like the name, I even have a char with that name b:chuckle) A high LVL **** up looking down on lower levels, its the same thing bro.

    Yup. trying grind on 30-40 mobs aoe in 90+.. i mean even charm cant keep up when mobs hit 300ish phys each. spam powders. ye gtfo, do u know how many u would need a day( not to speak of the long CD).

    i almost vote close thread as u got no clue. waste of bandwith lmao. ( and no i'm not gong to look on thread again, its jsut that radicolous b:laugh)

He starts lying too lol. He needs to know some math. Apparently he added on pots, genie skills and spark etc. LOL. He didn't even pput it there in his guide.

    Things you don't need when AoE grinding:
    HP Charm
    Or anything else

    Things that you might want:
    MP Charm

    To AoE Grind:
    Beastial Rage
    Run in tiger to gather them up.
    Invoke
    Frighten
    Pop in to Human
    Slam
    Run in front of all the mobs and then hit swell
    Go to tiger
    Sunder
    Frighten
    Pop back to human
    Slam
    Run in front of your mobs and hit swell
    and Repeat until your mobs are dead.

    Always pop Beastial Rage as much as possible for Invoke and Sunder.

    Note: AoE grinding is great for quest grinding but for making money it is the worst way to go! You'll always have a major repair bill compared to 1v1. Also I wouldn't recommend trying to take on more than 5-10 mobs at a time. (If you don't have a charm waiting for your hp to recover will only slow you down.)

    **EDIT: Doesn't matter what lvl you are this method will work. If you have all the skills posted above**

    VIT 552 STR 310 DEX 60! b:surrender

    gl killing anything this way, your going to spend 5 minutes killing the mobs you gather.

    nub.

    you wont be doing any mass aoeing with no hp charm. unless you have some mad gear refines. which most barbs do not.
