Dye clothes

I just bought a skirt wrap and I try to dye it, once with grey and once with purple... but... it always stays white...

I must do something wrong... and yes I've read the ultimate dying infos... but don't know what I'm doing wrong...

    Hm, that's weird.

    I think it may be on of those clothing items where only a small miniscule part of it changes color, but not the main base... Maybe the stripes on the kneepads or something like that.

    only the buttons change color the main skirt part is fixed white

    Look very closely at the "garter" on the left (I think) thigh. The two thin stripes are what you just spent all those thousands of gp to dye. :/
