I find it pretty odd let alone annoying that even though you are a master at what ever skill you have a lvl 1 at the same skill has the same chance of something just as good. I think that as your skill lvl increases not only should you be able to make higher lvl items but also you should have a better chance of adding to the normal stats of the item and a better chance to add random bonuses. Why work hard at a skill if you hardly get a reward for it?

Newsflash from one with level 4 skills in all.

You can make items with random stat increases, 1-3 star items, and relatively easily.

Second, to increase skill, if you are level 1, concentrate on level 2 items. Something that has relatively easy materials to get. You can make some very good items without much effort.

I think that if your level two the level one items should be easyer to get better stuff out of and if your level three level one and two items should be easyer to get better stats on and so on.

Lostsoul im not really sure if you know what I'm trying to say, I may just be misinterpreting what you are saying though. Everyone has the same chance to add bonus stats and what not to the things that they make no matter what level they are in the skill. The chance should be a lot higher once you master the skill then you do at level 1

Just a quick question, but why would this even matter? When you raise your crafting skill, why not just focus on gear of that level? Why would you even need to make lower level equipment. If your just going to sell it, then higher level gear sells for more. If you want to decompose it for chi stones, then higher end gear gives more of that as well. If you need to use the equips, then why not use the highest possible lvl you can, instead of using lower lvl equipment?

Just some things I was thinking about while reading this idea.

Your chance of getting bonus/higher stats should go up weither you are making a lower level item or not. Maybe have an even better chance of adding stats for lower level items but thats not the point.

The point is as your manufacturing level goes up so should the chance of adding a Random stat(s)
