    To me it's more more like a Atlantian (atlantis) Expansion. I feel a starg***(didn't want to get sued lol) resemblance. I even noticed campfires or just fires burning behind the giant fungus!!

    That's part of the Snake Isles. The island is identical to that is used for the Snake Isle race in a seperate shared instance.

    I wonder what secrets lays on the Nord, East and South part of the map.
    Not to long ago i was questing at the north part of Haunted Peak<where that Taoist is> and i saw a large unaccessable area whitch can lead to assumptions that there is more behind horizon as we could expect.
    And speaking about that new area i doubt if this is an island because <especially when sun comes down> the horizon behind that visible area is way too irregular <indicated rarter large land mass> so that area could be a part of brand new continent or IF this is an island then very large.
    Devs only known however what is the real purpose of that area but maybe this is a starter city for sea race?<Sea Horses are good signs pointed for that option>.

    That island is indeed the new area for the Tideborn expansion, I've explored it and seen the same stuff that you can see in the screenshots from the post when they first announced the expansion.

    P.S.: I'm not going to say here how I was able to explore it, because that's against the rules.
