Archer or Cleric??

uhm...some of u may have read my previous thread and it finally comes down to 2 classesb:victory,but yet again 2 classes :( not 1 class,so my questions is as says in topic i like to:

1-help people/2-be able to solo/3-to be needed at HH/FB/4-fast lvler

i wanna ask which is better?i hear some people say pure cleric does good dmg but yet again say the oppoisite,and i hate the con about archers which is close combat=1/2 dmg,pls answer me tyb:laugh

    pure magic build = high damage and you will kill mobs in 4 hits or less

    archer is a great Damage Dealer (DD), roll one if you go pvp server.

    Don't use pure mag use hybrid read more about it the cleric forum.

    i play on pve(sanctuary) anyways wat is better for solo,pvp(duel),HH and RB

    wat is best overall?pls tell me ty

    Use the edit button and don't talk about attack cleric in the cleric forum and pure is bad.

    You have much to learn; any topic can (and often will) become a debate.

    As for which class you should pick you specified four things that you wish to be able to do.
    1) Help people
    - Clerics heal, buff, and res. Quite helpful.
    2) Be able to solo
    - I'm unsure whether clerics or archers are better in this regard but clerics can heal, buff, and purify themselves while archers are the only class with no self heal. Archers just kill everything before they can get hurt.
    3) Needed in instances (TT, FB, BH).
    - See answer to number 1.
    4) Fast leveler
    - Um, I think this is a cleric. A very high level cleric. Please don't necro the thread I linked to.

    Now, sit back and enjoy watching as people crush my opinion beneath their boots.

    Cleric can solo easy alone, you get in party's easy, you can AoE grind solo....tho we are a money sink >.<

    Pure magic does not have anything to do in means of attack/support.
    You want to live trough a bosses attack, my personal opinion is get some vitality or go Light armor. That will make you survive, cause you cant attack if you are dead.

    Idk if you were reading cleric guides, all i can say is dont go full attack.
    Your attack skills will not suffer when it matters, believe me.

    If you want to be a cleric then go pure arcana 9 magic and 1 strenth,
    its the only way to go as cleric you can kill most things and yes you may be squishey but hey cleric is for support and it can be deadly.
    The main role is to heal and protect the tem while they kill and in the end if you go light armour you will regret npt using all yopur points to add magic

    It is 1 vit 1str and rest in mag not just pure or 2 in vit.Cleric survive more with more in vit.

    Before you start acting smart, play the class.
    I can think hole lot of bosses that eat full int (full mag) clerics.
    Once again, you cant attack/heal if you are dead....

    Nelae, Mr_B is absolutely right, I played a cleric for almost 10 months, I know.

    I really doubt a debate will start, it was discussed at cleric section for a long time and there is no need for it here.

    well being a lvl 71 archer i can say a few things:

    1) im a brilliant soloer (no doubt about that). i can kill a monster before it touches me
    2) im finding it hard to obtain money (same for cleric most likely)
    3)im a fast leveler (lvl 67-71 in a week)
    4)archers are definately needed for rebirth (so are clerics)
    5) i steal agro alot even from players 8 lvls or so above me (archers have really high damage)
    6)you wont be able to help ppl much.. only buff i got at this lvl to give to others would be an increased evasion and speed buff =p
    7)archers are charm burners
    8)you will have limited flight coz of low magic in the beggining as opposed to cleric (lvl 1-30) though that wont matter at later lvls
    Hints: go 1 str and 4 dex a lvl if u play archer
    i cant say anything about cleric since i havent played it =p.. but heres wat i can give... hope it helps u to decide

    2 last questions,1-are clerics as (huge money sinks or something),can u make coins or is it really that hard?and im still confused but oh well lol(might stick to barb after allb:surrender)

    EDIT:BTW which is better for support/pvp/Terretory wars and stuff LA or arcane cleric??

    and with my lvl 19 cleric i got my a$$ kicked by lvl 19 archer does that change at higher lvls?ty

    I would say both are huge money sinks we can make coin but not as good as Veno.Yes it can be hard especially if you get repair bills coming at you.

    I would it all depends on your play style for support for TW some stay robed some go LA.

    For PvP, what ever makes you live longer is better. Cant say which one is the best cause when you get your gear, put gems in to it and so on, both arcane and LA are good. So its up to your personal choice.

    Money making isnt so hard, be sure not to waste coins on charms before you really need them and you will be ok ^^

    And yeah, it gets better vs archers later on.
