I just want to know if an NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT or NVIDIA Geforce GT 130M would run PWI full graphics little to no lag in Archasour and when fighting in a Territory War.

I'm planning to get a laptop that can do that. My internet is really fast so internet is not a problem.

Even with that, you will get a few hiccups in west archosaur. And what do you mean "full graphics"? How many fps are you trying to achieve? 30fps playable with full graphics, 60ps? 72fps?

With the 9600, Id reckon you will get 15-20 FPS on full settings in west archo. And maybe 30-40 in a less crowded setting.

    Oh yea, what resolution screen?

I have fairly buff machine twin d core 2.8ghz with 6.5gb ddr2 nevida 9800GT running under Ubuntu 9.04(64bit) and I dont care what you do you will always have lag in Achor just so many ppl so many cat shops so much **** to load in. Tis why many reffer to it as Lag City

The 9600GT should be fine only thing that would help buffer the lag a bit more is physical memory in your machine my exp. 1gb was horrible (under windows vista ultimate) 2gb was better same OS but still laggy. Switched to Ubuntu and things got better for one it uses far less memory than anything microsoft has but anyways .. I upgraded to 6.4gb machine can goto 8gb but found memory on sale and WOW what a difference like black and white kinda difference. In Archor at peak time when there are thousands of cat shops up ppl flying around, ppl running around on mounts ppl havin duels etc etc etc PWI will spike to about 1.1gb memory and the GPU's on the Nevdia 9800GT will slam to 100% but otherwise is "ALMOST" as lag free as it can be made I believe.

So in short without knowing your system specs.. Yes the 9600GT will help but make sure you have the physical memory to back it up. Also at min. A Dual core processor helps.

to Lloyd i actually don't understand what is fps cuz i'm no computer expert XD but to Slim, yes the laptop i'm aiming will have a dual core and by physical memory do u mean RAM? cuz my target is 4GB RAM. but the thing is are u talking about the 9600GT or the 9600MGT? cuz the 9600GT is for desktops and the 9600MGT is for laptops which means 9600MGT is bit slower then the 9600GT

    FPS = Frames Per Second

And yes that will be fine the way I understand it you'd have

    Processor: ???
    Memory: 4gb
    Video: 9600 MGT
OS: ??? (will assume microsoft vista?)

Oh that should run the game no problem. I have a single core 1.5ghz with 2gb memory lappy with **** intel video chip with shared 256mb memory and it runs the game just fine.. Bit of a pain in the butt in Archor but that because it's a single core and slow .. lol

The game I believe was written for single processor but dual and quad cores run it SOOOO much better but anyways yes you should be fine might be bit laggy in Archor or TW but should be more than adequate.

elementclient.exe will only run on one single core, period, any "smoothness" issues would simply be from other stuff trying to run at the same time. I run in windows mode and have watched core utilization, once it starts on a core it never uses another one. I was able to force it to use SLI but never more than a single core.

If you can wait and get one with Windows 7 on it, you'll thank me for it.

Use less resources, boots quicker, install things quicker, frequently used apps and game load quicker, just overall a lighter OS plus you get DirectX 11.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Thats what I've been thinking about too. Was about to get a new laptop for school but, with w7 coming out soon. Im not sure. I might just get one of those with the "free" w7 upgrade.
