Healing Veno Pets?

I've been duoing with a Veno friend of mine and was more than a little surprised that I am unable to heal her pet like in other MMOs. I target her pet and cast a heal and it hits her instead (buffs also). Is this by design or am I doing something wrong?

    It's by design. You can't heal, buff, nor purify veno pets.

    Venomancers have their own heal for their pets, that's why we can't heal their pets.
