PWI - internet killer?

Hello everyone. I'm new here and was just wondering if anyone had experienced an issue I had with the game recently.

Well, I decided to download perfect world and as the downloader started doing so my download speed instantly doubled from 1MB a sec to 2MB a sec and then the downloading suddenly stopped and the PWI downloader told me it couldnt locate my IP address. I thought maybe I was having computer issues so I tried to start up firefox but it wouldnt load any websites, still I figured it had to do with my computer because my cable internet has never went out. So, I restarted my computer and still no access to any websites. I then unplugged my modem and plugged it back in and found that my modems lights would not stabilize, they just kept flashing.

Sooo, I freaked out for a few hours trying to get my internet back up and finally did. But i'm wondering, has this happened to anyone else? Has downloading PWI messed up your internet connection during the process? I can't say for sure that PWI did it but it's awfully coincidental that within 15 seconds I started the PWI downloader, had a spike in download speed and then my internet dies with PWI telling me it cant find my IP address.b:angry

    Not while downloading for me, it mostly take its precious time to open an internet page whenever i play the game.

    This is nothing to freak out over, lol.
    The most probable explanation is that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) maybe had a server reboot/ dns maintenance going on, so your internet was down for a few hours (flashing lights on modem means dsl link down). There's nothing wrong with the game.
