Does this really prove anything apart from there is other ppl that have the same OPINION as you and that you feel very strongly about this and have alot of free time? Any statistics can be obscured/skewed to help strengthen particular opinions.
Im not a rpker, i only kill rednames or KOS ppl. Its not a big deal, its fun and far more of my ingame time is spent PvEing with friends. But seriously why do ppl get so worked up over this? You get pked, u lose some time (maybe a doll) who cares? It a game, remember that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My apologies Ms Slake if I did sound confrontational. I wasn't here to argue with you. My intention of posting those studies was for players to read and debate. It certainly wasn't aimed at you.
Many a times its always the higher level ones who pick on those 20-30 levels lower and then telling them to QQmoar knowing that they can't even defend themselves. Purpose? To show domination? Or is it just a missing chromosome or 2 that makes a person want to get his or her enjoyment out of someone's misery?
Sadly with the anonymity of the internet, people who are nice in real life turn into ogres once they get online. There are no consequences to face, no authority to draw the line and no law to uphold the sanity. What is it that turns nice people into raging sociopaths once they log in to a free for all pvp game?

So then the man gets angry and goes outside and hits a mailbox. Did the mailbox do anything to him? No!

The order form for the gin and tonic was sent, you guessed it, through the mail! So in fact, it WAS the mailboxes fault!

Yes, indeed every point that you brought up is irrelevant. Going back to my story about the mailbox. We have to look at it through the mailboxes point of view! Perhaps he DID send the order form, and it was the mailMAN who did not deliver it! But wait!! The bartender claimed that they had coke! so the coke order form went through! So clearly there is something wrong at the gin and tonic factory!!!!
The same can be said for pvp servers.0 -
I'm a whitename, mostly carebear... only gone red a few times... don't do a whole lot of pking either really. Being on a PvP server makes life a little more interesting. If you find it a nuisance, level up or re-roll PvE.
An interruption to a boring quest or mat-mining spree with some PvP, no matter who wins is always welcome. ;D
And, I can't really imagine being a blue named 8x. That would just seem weird. lolI post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

Seen a few of these threads lately, and one thing I have been thinking on. Why lvl 30? Why can't lvl 5's have the pleasure of PK'ing lvl 1's, or lvl 90's PK'ing lvl 1's for that matter? Why only allow PK over lvl 30? Having thought on this I have come to the answer, because there would never be any new players on a PvP server and it would eventually die.
Having PK only after lvl 30 means that people who don't really know what it means to be on a PvP server, feel, by the time they have reached lvl 30, that they have invested so much time and effort into the game that they don't want to start all over again so they persevere despite the ganking. of course WE know its really easy to get to lvl 30 once you know the trick to it, we have all done it before, but the newbies don't.
This indicates that the current PvP paradigm is ultimately flawed and PvP servers only exist due to artificial support and rules. take the lvl limit off and see how quickly the server dies, I dare the devs :-)0 -

Slow down for a moment Slake. That player you pked may be a 14 year old kid who had to wash his Dad's car to get something extra on top of his allowance.
1 doll = 30cents.
10 dolls = 3 dollars.
From my experience and from what I have read and observed, a player from level 30 onwards has a chance of being pked up 10-30 times a day.
No dolls, there's a chance of equipment dropping or anything in the inventory. I know there are higher level players who do this to make money. Get the drops and sell them. Profit at the expense of another player's hard work. Newer players don't even stand a chance.
It certainly is not fun for the one being pked. As I've mentioned, what is it that makes people get their enjoyment out of someone's misery?b:angry<--NERD RAGE!!!0 -

You don't need a doll if you're white. If you go red, buy a doll and lose it because someone killed you it's your own fault and should assume the consequences for your acts.
Or you can use other ways to prevent dropping which are free. A.K.A. Safety Lock.0 -

I personally have dropped something while white named and I have read horror stories of other players dropping their stuffs while white named too. Do you really trust the game system?
Safety lock with the shatter gear system in place now?
The percentage of dropping stuffs while white named and gear shattering may be low.
