What's Wrong? DEF or Attack?

I can't seem to figure out my problem here.I'm kinda New at Lv 20 BM.My Def or my attack just Is starting to suck.My quests even If the Mobs are level 18 are really hurting me more than they should.Every monster I have to sit so I can heal or by some chance I just die?

I'm using up to date equipment like armors & weapons for my level.I notice others are no sitting after every monster so I think I'm doing something wrong.I've even up my skills today Eh I'm LOST!!!

    How did you allocate your stat points?

    Every 2 levels 5 Strength 3 Dex 2 Vit

    I know my Avatar says Lv 13 but I'm 20 If anyone asks.

    I have been,but I was trying not to rely on them.Some monsters yes I had to because they were taking me down to fast & sometimes It Isn't enough.Unless I use Pots all the freakin time In Battle & just healing yeah that would work,but that would get expensive.

    I was thinking either gear or I'm just not sure.Yes some of my gear Is Merchant gear,but some Isn't also.Sometime I just get It because the Overall Def Is better.

    Lv 21 I can get a new Duel Sword,but I doubt that It's the Issue.Attack seems ok most times Def Is just ****.It's like Magical Attacks Is the worst & most Mobs around 18-20 has started using them & that's were the problems started.I was fine till that point.

    Magic + HA = Pain.


    It's a sad fact, but one you'll have to get used to. Magic HURTS when you use Heavy Armor, and unless you're using marows, stuns, or keeping them close and, in essence, forcing them to melee you it's always gonnabe a pain.

    Hmm...How much Is the Difference between the Heavy Armor to the Light Armor?Shouldn't I be using the Heavy?For my Class?

    I don't wanna get If It changes nothing...

    Doesn't most BM's use Heavy?

    Use the Heavy Armor. I've got a blademaster too, and I end up meditating after every kill or two when I fight things with magic attack. Same with my archer, and I'm using Light Armor.

    Guess I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing & hope It get's better.Sounds like I'm doing everything right.Just needed to know.

    What you are facing is what all BMs must experience at low levels. Since you are a melee class, you get to be hit more by all mobs and it seems that the low levels till 30 are meant to be hard for any class (With the exception of Venomancers).

    Continue playing till you are Lv 30 and you get your healing skill "Diamond Sutra" at Lv 29 after you finish your Cultivation. Things will only start to get better after that. Also you can use the Genie Skill "Tree of Protection" as a backup or an emergency Healing skill.

    You would get your AOE Skills at Lv 39+ which is when BMs start to shine. Once you are 60+ with decent armor, you can easily sustain lots of damage and handle multiple mobs at once if you got a decent Vitality Pool. So 30+ expect everything to get better and continue playing =)

    Using the mdef of arcane armor as a base of 100%:

    Arcane / Light / Heavy
    pdef: 11% / 43% / 100%
    mdef: 100% / 67% / 43%

    Well I have a noobie BM and I can say that at about 20-30 you have to have some patience cause it will be hard especially with magic mobs. Later on you will get more attack skills and a healing skill. Also whenever you have the chance, shard up with magic defense and maybe HP. Building a BM can be a bit tricky.

    Think its bad now ... wait till you get to Pyrogolth's (lvl 50'ish) b:chuckle

    As a heavy armour class all you can do tbh is battle through it, I tried switching to light armour on pyro's, but due to low general mag res anyway it didnt make much differance.

    Eh 1 vit a lvl isn't much for a BM...

    Try maybe 6 str, 1 dex and 3 vit every 2 levels; but add in a bit extra dex every so often if you start missing a lot.
