I bet out of the 100% that play this game only a good 30-40% pay for gold, there for its easy to turn a blind eye to the problem. Like i said befor i buy gold and dont use the AH for gold. But the good 70-60% that do are suffering. They depend on us for there gold or store items. I for one agree with the 70-60%. I buy items and put it at normal price as though gold was 100k per. But i cant corect the problem my self. I need the help of all players that buy gold. Dont turn a blind eye to this problem. Do somthing about it.

Thats all i am going to say.

you may complain about the prices going up
but think about it how easy it actually is to farm money in this game
you can pay it easily. so id say stop the complaining n farm a bit more
ive been in games the prices were above 100 mill n the drops from mobs
were nothing but 7coins, 10k worth of questies and rarely stones 1/2 mill
now then you have the right to complain :)

I fail to see why people in PWI are complaining so much
yes it may suck to see the prices go up but come on
have a good day of farming n you make so much money
you wouldnt even have to think about ever buying gold

this game is so easy money making that im enjoying it
n you should too. money doesnt grow on trees neither it does in a game
work a bit for it like you work for your lvls, its easy enough

n i can say that after playing over 20 mmorpgsb:bye

there are lots of mmorpgs where its hard to get the good stuff
but the worst one is [removed], i dont wanna go into detail anymore
since im still pssed off about that game, but to me perfect world is amazing
i just putted some time in farming n i got cash shop stuff already.

if the prices go up, work a little bit harder
its the same as real life, if youre lazy n dont wanna do something
then you cant expect to get the cash rolling in
good thing PWI has zhen you can buy :] but its easy enough without it

All [removed]. games have high inflation. Played r[removed]. and freaking for one piece of armor it's 250 mil. Not only that but they lowered the drop rates so low that now you can't make money at all to compensate. They did this to all their games. Trying to milk the cash shoppers for a dying game. One of the reasons why i came over to perfect world. Even [removed]. cash shop is ridiculously priced. What cost a few quarters here in pwi cost for the same type item a few dollars. Lol it is refreshing to play a game like this one.

Although i don't know if it was allowed to say this on the forums, even though im bashing a different game. PWI is 100 times better than that company. Even their gm's runaway from it you know that's bad.

Yes PW doesn't have huge inflated prices like those games, but it looks like it might head that way b:surrender

Hmn! did I hear da' word profit!
In game, Gold was as high as 150k per gold, we had purchased with our in game coins. We tried our best to get the lowest priced gold but it didn't happen, so we paid much higher for our gold to help us acquire the event items.

Our prices fluctuated with the gold market depending of the time we had purchased gold.

b:sad
About having the lowest prices, I had searched all major towns and outer villages. Yes! we did have an impact of maintaining and helping keep the prices down for the entire week!

It took roughly 3-4 months before gold prices dropped back down to 110K, even going clearing all the way down to 99.9K bid being the highest once.

The event will keep the gold prices high for quite a while. After we get the junky sales that will come; such as dyes, socket stones, fireworks, and mirage boxes then we will see a creep down of price in gold.

Yes, the chest of coins will keep it from falling completely, but it had already dropped to 160K before this weekend's sale of dragon orbs hit the market. And there are certain sales that will always drive prices up 20-30K until they end. Luckily, they seem to be going back to the weekend only sales the past few while. The mount price change is not the same, since they will likely be adding new mounts with the next expansion. This is there last push of existing models before they start earning money from the new pixels added as mounts.

As long as they continue doing weekend sales, prices will drop as they always do after a Jones event inflates prices by 50k+ each time it appears. And more gold is charged every day than people seem to realize; I've bought over 1,000 gold in just one day during a really hectic day of merchanting, and many others were doing more. The chest of coins will not have as great an effect as expected unless everyone suddenly starts doing nothing but rebirth and beating the cube. And just seeing so few people near the spiritual guy and number of constant WCs should clue people in it isn't as many as thought.

EDIT: Guess I should mention, that quote is from March of this year.
Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura

To OP - the cost of the charms reflects current gold prices. They are charging for charms what you would have to spend in coin to buy gold so you could buy the charms yourself in the boutique.

On the other hand this hasn't affected all cash shop items. Just the most wanted/needed items.

It has effected all but the ones not wanted, which are very few.
This situation even effected non CS items, some gone 2 times the original price.

So yes there is a problem, but whining wont help. GM's wont change it, so have a nice time doing twice the job then usual.

Gee, I dunno. Maybe because something has finally happened to the game that actually affects every day game play, negatively for most, and that the only people that can stop the problem are those that are creating it: The "developers."
Its easy to blame the developers isn't it? Faceless developers that we never see or talk to who will never post on these forums can take the blame for the screwed up economy when it was really just the fault of masses of players trying to get something for nothing.

Was putting the coin boxes in the in game effectively forcing people to buy zen? I can't speak for everyone, but if I ever got one from RB or wherever, it would very likely sit in my bank until I had the cash to charge zen. There's no way I'd sell it for 250k and there's no way in hell I'd pay 800k for a hammer that I could just pay $5 for.

The only argument in favor of an MMORPG economy that is backed by real world cash being in the toilet is the state of the real world economy. Did the devs put those coin boxes in because they heard a bajillion people in the US lost their jobs this year and thought "HOW CAN WE GET THEM TO BUY MORE ZEN??!!!!??!@#######" I doubt it. I think if we all just did our part and contributed to the game a little more, it will stabilize eventually.

PW's staff do make mistakes. I would like to make it clear that i think them neither greedy nor incompetent, far from it, from what little interaction i've had with them i can't fairly say that they've been anything but friendly and profesional. Naive as it may sound, i do think that they listen to what we have to say, and that they're concerned with the game's economy. Whatever else it's their jobs at stake here, not just their leisure, and we are the ones playing a game, not them.

Still, they do make mistakes...

And not everything gone wrong with the economy is their fault, not exactly... The servers have aged a bit in the sense that there are now enough high levels that demand for gold will simply never let prices go down to the same range it had when there were only a handful of 80+ people running around. This means not only a higher demand for mid (subs, leveling crafting skills, etc.) and high mats but for boutique items as well. It also means it's harder to make money; TT1-x stuff is a good example of something that has lost value because there are simply much more people farming it or able to. And the faster leveling is not helping either and that's something i haven't seen a single complaint about (nor am i making 1) as people breeze through leveling thanks to BH and RB. This further fuels the demand for consumables (charms, esos, ga's) impoverishes some players (who cant now afford things like skills at lvl ranges at which sp/coin were not so much trouble) and makes people in general less willing to do dull tasks such as grinding/farming, which now we need to do more of because of high gold prices...
