well, id prefer something classic, but if its modern, i dont mind. im into thrash, heavy, and death metal, so if you know any great ones send em my way.
note if its played from a band like slayer, metallica, exodus, venom, helloween, etc ive prolly heard it. try to find something thats pretty rare.

Well, you said something that's pretty rare and I haven't met many people who listen to Meshuggah. A bit strange and definitely not for everyone.

Ugh, so hard to choose only a few bands and songs. Thanks a lot for taking out a few choices for me. Sorry if you don't like any of these, I tried picking bands that I don't see on someone's t-shirt every time I walk down the street (I do see Opeth shirts every now and then but no one seems to know who Meshuggah and CoB are).

i was just giving examples of commonly listed bands but LOL those are all some of the songs on my playlist on youtube. especially like pantera and COB, hate crew deathroll and cowboys from hell/vulgar display of power CDs respectively. i listen to -alot- of metal x_X;0

Teach me your ways, great master, and I shall be your humble slave for all of eternity. Honestly though, I've only recently started listening to metal (six years ago) so I'm sure that my library isn't anywhere near as extensive as yours.
Probably the only bands I know of that you don't would be some of the crappy bands at my university. Um, I'll just link you to one that I think is decent.

These are the guys who introduced me to Meshuggah (which is the reason why I decided to check out their myspace in the first place). They took a lot of their stuff down because they thought they could do better but there's a little demo and one song still up. Still needs a little work but they're much better than everyone else around here. They said they're recording some new songs this weekend so they might update their page soon.

darkane and maantrik i can check out, mastadon ive seen when they started blood mountain, awesome CD. blah life was great until my 17th bday lol. concerts and partying and **** around.
my first concert, for the sandman tour, metallica 91 in moscow... i was 4, and my uncle took me to see them. sooo wonderful, even though its barely rememberable.
