Wood Attack with Poisen Fang

Hello, i recently bought calamity axes to use in one level. I am curious to what gems to use on them. My first question is, if i were to add two flawless +80 wood attack gems to them, would this add the damage if i have Poisen fang on? Also would this be a wise choice of gems to put in the axes if it does work with poisen fang? What gems do you use in your axes?

Any advice would be helpful :]

    I am not sure, but you should see for yourself on another weapon if u have the spare coins. Also imo, i find it better using P.DMG shards more than wood elemental shards for dealing more DMG or HP shards for tanking...

    Poison Fang adds wood damage based on your normal damage. So adding physical attack shards would increase the effect of both of them, and strength of the titans, making them the better choice.

    As stated earlier poison fang adds a % of your weapon damage as wood damage. So adding wood shards will add wood damage but will not help poison fang. To gain extra damage you need to add garnets.

    However, if you plan on using the same axes for grinding, I'll suggest adding one garnet and one amber shard. All the damage in the world ain't squat if your zerk misses.
    If you are only gonna use this for pk only, use both garnets (since you are gonna be using accuracy pots).

    Add Amber Shards. Ambers are, in my opinion the best thing you can put on your weapon. For armor, I like to load it with Citrines... if I have the money.

    i think the poison fang it a useless skill i tested dmg with it on VS heavy and arcane and it doesnt change anything neither does that useless wiz water buff.
    adding wood dmg or any element shards in your weapons is a useless way to send ur money.
    i cant really talk cuz i put 1 perfect wood on my weapon and 1 perfect amber but thats cuz i couldnt be bother to farm another World Boss that day...

    depending on ur build i would recommend either 1 accuracy gem and 1 phis attack. or both phis attack if ur higher dex or u love BloodBath.

    Now I don't know about its usefulness in PK, but I disagree with your statement as regards PvE. It does do added damage. So much so that I can tell the difference if the buff has worn out without my noticing the missing icon.

    It certainly does help fill the gap between humanoid and tiger form damage.

    Until you reach 89 and go demon (obviously).

    I think adding physical damage for pk, accuracy for grinding (you must be rich if you gonna grind with zerk axes) is your best bet. If you gonna use them for both, add one of each.

    Some things about the wood attack buff.


    1) It only applies when you use an auto attack not skills.

    2) it is very noticeable against heavy users in 1v1

    3) Putting wood shards in your weapon will also only apply to when you auto attack and not use skills. (which doesn't stack with Poison Fang.)

    I suggest A) not using zerk axes for grinding and

    B) Put 2 amber in unless you use bb when you grind in which case put 1 amber 1 garnet.

    I think that is wrong tbh.. When I was in fb99 hell, tanking the physical immune boss, bite and other skills did dmg with the poison fang ijs

    As a barb I shard for either accuracy or hp only. There's No reason to shard for anything else, IMO. Added damage doesn't count if it doesn't hit.

    So does poison fang affect the damage you do in human form and tiger form, or only tiger? As in, do you get that extra wood damage based on your weapon damage when not in tiger form?
