I would like to know how much it cost to obtain a +12 item. I know it was 4.4k USD before price for dragon orbs got reduce. It would be nice if you can list the other refinements cost also.

to refine from 1+ to +12 its $2201.75, thats with no sales ect. a 12 star d orb alone is $1010. b:victory0
-
2200?
so, roughly 374,000,000m coin? O.o
Guess it beats the cost of a warsoul. And a +12 endgame weapon is still pretty epic.0 -
Pretty scary that people spend that much on pixels.0

Holy.... 2k USD for 1 virtual item in game...
That means for a full set of +12 gear, we're talking what? 22k USD?
That translates into what? a couple decades of grinding in game?Induction ID (Doomsbog): 3080068X031808024008351Z3f4d220 -

You rang? For the record neither my father, the holy ghost, nor I have anything to do with that. b:laugh That is pretty insane. I'd love to be friends with the person who can afford to spend thousands on some pixels. b:dirty0

Thats why if i ever ran across a guy in +12 who thought they pwned and enjoyed admiring glances from noobies...i'd laugh my **** clean offa the top of my thighs at them.Quit 100%...and surprised my forum account wasn't banned...yet0

...because someone with a +12 refine obviously paid for it themselves? That's the whole point of the gold trader really. It lets them put in items like that because it's not reliant on an individual to pay for it, but rather an entire servers community to supply the gold because pretty much no one would drop $2000 on a weapon.0

You'd be amazed what rich people are willing to spend money on. One word, Hummer.0

You obviously don't know anything about Lost City CS whores.0 -
A Hummer is a tangible good with actual utility, and a determined lifespan. Anyone can become rich, staying rich however requires not wasting money, which I think anyone would consider $2000 gold for a weapon refine to be. Especially considering, there can be an upgrade placed into the game at any time, and the refine won't transfer over.
While I'm not saying it's impossible for it to happen, you're talking about an amount of money that very few would throw away to a game (if you did it during a 20% zen sale 2200 gold would run you $1750). Things like that are priced so that very high level players can farm coin and get it through the trader. It's the whole reason the trader exists, it detaches an individuals ability/willingness to buy gold from the actual gold sales. Having $1750 to spend isn't a requirement because there's thousands of players per server, and there's far more people willing to obtain the coin to pay others to give them gold, than there are people willing to pay that much individually.0 -
we have +12 GX weapon in our server b:angry0

Hahahahah. So true.A Hummer is a tangible good with actual utility, and a determined lifespan.
You dont actually have to grind the whole 300 mil coins...Theres buying and selling. Yes, it will take a while, but for a +12 weapon its probably almost worth it just to merchant alot of items,[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

They're both a colossal waste of money, considering the typical Hummer owner owns it for precisely one reason, showing off, especially the ones who have them made into stretched limos. The vehicle itself is insanely priced, and then when you consider how much you spend on gas for one of them. The difference is the Hummer is a continual financial loss, between the vehicle itself, the oil, tires, spark plugs, gas, insurance, and whatever other parts, fluids, or repairs you might possibly need to purchase. Unless you live in a war zone, there's really no feasible reason why a Hummer would be a practical purchase, when a nice Kia Spectra will do the job you need just as well for much less cash. Not saying that paying two grand on a bunch of pixels isn't foolish, far from it, I'd consider it just as foolish as owning a Hummer. Just saying, there are people with that much money they can afford to waste, who would undoubtedly not even think twice about doing so, mostly so they can have the biggest blong, or is it blang? Whatever it is the younglings like to say when describing shiny, often expensive, baubles.0 -
TW pays for a lot of the gold I imagine.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I know quite a few players who were making a casual 100m+ out of the jolly jones event. Some afk traders make a ton of coin daily simply by having a spare laptop. A skilled marketer or trader could actually amass 300m coins by endgame fairly easily.
I remember another MMO I played where they held events almost every few weeks. The best endgame weapon cost thousands of dollars, if not more to make max refined. Yet, each event I was raking in somewhere around $80 up to several hundred dollars worth in coin through skillfully taking advantage. O_o0 -

lol@kia spectra
as yaoshi said, there's a +12 GX on the server now
2k is about 360 mil, takes a while to get but not impossible with coin (especially with jolly jones)0 -

I know more people with over 360mil (on HT) then i have fingers. hence i can assume its the same on other servers, probably more on pvp servers. therefore, its not unimageable to get a +12.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

yeah so true. jolly event makes me so much. i spent like what? 50mil to invest and made 70mil profit. and yes im at endgame with over 400mil coins without spending a cent on the game. so its not impossible to get +12 without spending real $ b:bye[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I started it with 200k, ended it with 45 mil as prices recover (oracles aren't back up yet). That's with saving shards and eso's for myself.0 -

is a +12 gx an accomplishment on harshlands or something?
i log onto lost city and try to random pk at point 29. the only pk i get is 4-5 people with +12 gx. +12 is the new +8. too bad at +8 you didn't look completely obsessed over a video game. who +12's a non-endgame weapon anyways? people with +12 gx are dumb.0 -
Isn't there a point where you look at your +10/11/12 refines and say... I really must suck as this game if I'm paying so much for an increase in my damage.
Also look at the chat box in that screenie, someone had a lucky dayCurrently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.
