Is a Cleric considered a PvP Class

Notice: I didn't put this in the cleric section since I would like to hear feedback from non-clerics as well.

Someone recently told me Clerics weren't really a PvP class.

However I disagree, we are not just a support class, but id like to see others opinions

    each class can PvE and PvP im assuming at first each class was designed for a specific purpose in PvE

    Clerics are the first thing to die imo,

    they are more of a suportive class in large scale PVP aswell. sure they can attack, but they can actualy shoot once in a 4-5 heals because they will in most cases die, unless they fight arcanes.

    But in large scale, yes they are suportive.
    In small scale or 1v1 - depends on your enemy

    clerics are the 2nd least scary class in 1v1 pk (at least for barbs) (barbs are first) bms with gx are scarier.. heavens flame with a crit from a full str thhunderstorm genie is scary..

    well, under lvl 90 some classes have native advantages over other.

    once over 90s, the classes are pretty much balanced and a good player will be a good PKer no matter what class he's playing.

    I manage to pvp just fine. I'm usually grouped with a barb, and even if we're up against a melee class (and the smart ones will attack me first), they're of course gonna jump on me. But plume shell and a single heal will keep me up, and then we can both doublespark and drop whatever's hitting me, if it's of equal level.

    I think of us as more than a support class. I also think a stellar cleric will *drastically* change the outcome of a fight. A charmless barb will still take a little bit to die, but a Stream of Juvie can complete heal him and you can move on to nuking. I have so many roles I can fill it's almost like I'm playing a class with /jesus mode on. Someone fleeing? Paralyze. Wizard dropping BIDS? Mezz. Being chased by 3 melee? I'm crowd control. Three of the same focused on my tank? I'm three HoTs away from burning you all down one by one. There's another cleric in their party? Mezz, focus fire; oh baby, I play a sexy job.

    Ask the many people trying to take my camp recently if a cleric's a terrible PVP class.

    I'm more scared of clerics than any other classes :Ob:shocked.

    Yups, Its official, clerics cannot pvp......
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    No....I saw it yesterday just nothing really to comment on.

    And to Ice...lol...using PvP rankings for Clerics not being able to pk is a little outlandish. You made a point using them, but I would nix the PvE servers, since I am sure not too many Cleric's are putting themselves into PK mode.

    And on PvP servers....I for one do not go in search of PvP (non-rpk) and second, I am too busy in instances too have time, which is the same for mny of the Clerics I know b:sadb:surrender

    full attack clerics are fairly scary, wen built and used right

    I don't like clerics much cuz they heal themselves right before I kill them and being ranged they can use powerful attacks on me instead of pet. I'm not "scared" of them and I can still beat them but they are among the least favorite of mine to fight, which is why when I fight them I ask for an archer to help gank them.

    Technically a cleric is a supporter and not made for PvP - but its all in the build.

    huh? say that to my lv 30 cleric alt with 80 hours of red left no dolls so cant grind XD
