I love Barb b:dirty (Barbs ftw) Anywayz base on my understanding from what everybody says why cant i pass 60dex?
Isnt it true that the more dex you have the better accuracy you got against range clasess such as archers also dont forget the crit's. To prove what i mean check the pic below:

Why barbs with high dex are a fail? Simple barbs arent damage dealers they are supposed to tank, anyway ... that barb level 100 and only 11K HP? (lets not say epic fail because it is).

What he said. Basically every 20 points of dex you gain 1% of crit. You need 62 dex to be able to equip endgame heavy armour. That's why you don't go higher.

Well, you can get lost hp by having good refines if you feel like pumping a lil more dex for % a crit break. Now that lvl barb is very nice other then the fact his hp is a bit low.

He has bloodbath on, so his HP is about 13k in normal form and about 16.5k in tiger form which not that bad. But he sacrifices about +3.5k hp for that accuracy in normal form.

End game for barbs is either 60 or 80 dex IMO.

You forgot the part that its on a private server... were he have all refined +12 and the better shards possible. and to be honest no one will refine and shard it so hard like in private servers to put every pice in the final gear at maximun... that would be a waste of more 4K of real money for sureb:shocked

Explains his awesome m.def...yes you know what his hp is terribly low (IF everything is 12+ with some of the best shards.

Or you cheep the crits like me, get an elite woven fang arrow, level 1 bow, equip the bow and equip the arrow.
Tada, 1% easy crit.

It's not exactly as godlike as you make it sound. What if a veno bramble hood on you? What if an archer or even wiz just run around and kite, and you can't catch it? Barb just doesn't have the kind of rush and stunluck bm uses for pvp, so why try imitating bm? Besides, something like berserk critical can't be depended upon, it's just a chance. In the end, it's just an alternate build for people who are bored, sorta like HA cleric or LA dex bow veno. They're viable, but devs never intended the characters to be built that way. There are too many disadvantages, for some limited perks. Not a good tradeoff. Everyone use cookie-cutter builds for a reason, they're easier and gives the best overall results.

And yeah, crit arrows don't work, gms confirmed that on forum ages ago.

Actually the bezerk is rather dependable. I used a zerk axe throught the 70s, it zerked about once every 5 hits. The thing with zerk is that it doubles the damage for 5% of your max HP. The higher your HP total, the more HP you lose. That means wether you are a godly tanker or a full dex barb you can only get about 19 zerks (assuming you are taking no damage) at max.

A tanker's base damage is low. Much much lower than a str/dex wb. Doubling my attack for 5% of my HP isnt as much of a gain.
On the other hand, a str/dex barb, gains a lot more damge with a zerk, and by increasing critrate, can make it even more dependable.

The only difference may be in perdition (since a zerked perdition from a tanker, will hurt a lot more than a str/dex barbs perdition).

From a PK perspective, if a barb is using a zerk weapon, he can kill better as a str/dex build than as a tanker.
Yes he can be 1shotted on a venos bramble and he does have a lot less HP, but hes not aiming to be a tanker. And if he is, all he needs is to refine the **** out of his gear. Presto! A reasonable taker barb, with a lot of HP and a lot more firepower.

Once you have endgame gear, you can go full out on refines and theres really no need to have so much vit. Thats why a lot of high level barbs restat.

It IS 5% of max HP (not current, I was burning 500 HP even when down to my last 3k) and no it can't kill you. You can zerk down to your last 5% of HP. If you are under that HP it will not zerk.

barbs dont like more than 60 dex ish... is becuase...
1) barbs like to keep dex as low as possible so you can keep the rest of the stats pumped in to vit - since most barbs like to tank
2) if you have too much dex you turn into a bm b:thanks
3) since most 77+ or 90+ barbs have either double misty ring which is +100% acc or 2 tt90 gold ring +60% acc if you have 60 dex (my build atm) with 2 misty and (+125 acc gem in my weapon) gives a bit over 1.3k accuracy
++ we get Bloodbath +200% or +300% as demon

a nice 90+ build to follow i hope to do if i get 2 tt90 gold rings +60% acc (also +4% crit) 100 dex (100 dex = 800 acc) and 1 perfect acc gem in the weapon.
this idea of adding more crit is based on a more PVP build most 90+ barbs who enjoy PvE and cata pulling in TW im sure like to keep the lowest dex to get the highest vit

well I have 70 dex, I got tired of missing all the time and dont like sacrificing 16% hp, and from 60-70 makes a HUGE differance!

In PVP and TW I dont HAVE to use bloodbath to hit archers or BM's anymore, and while grinding I dont miss every 3 swings b:surrender

This...

Dex and accuracy can be modified by equips. If not that, some barbs will use Bloodbath. I prefer +accuracy and + dex equips.

what i found PERSONALLY is. when you fight lvl 99-100+ archers, even if u ahve 80 dex, it still aint enough.

Gotta BB everytime you see an archer....rule of thumb.

My advice is build ya char according to ya PLAYSTYLE. **** the ADVICE from whoever.
They not playing your character, YOU are.

There are those wich stick with 70's zerk axes and go FULL vit. Perdition killers.

There are those wich go SLIGHTLY less hp abit more str and dex. Perdition hurt less, but ya otehr skills alla orund hurt more.

There are those that don't even add vit, go alls tr and dex. Perdition is a JOKE, but he hit you with onslaught zerk, crit, zerk+crit, it gonna REALLY hurt.

Etc etc.

Just find your own style. Thats the "BEST"
