I'm wondering, should I use a slingshot or a bow for PvE, or neither... I get it, Slingshot is PvE and Bows are in between and c'bow is for PvP but still.... for my level, it seems odd so help me out...
As time passes
I constantly look at the clock
But how does it pass by?

As much as asking questions is ok, try using the the search function please. Don't want to clutter the boards now
Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. Now she's fox walloping and purging over and over again.. all for a deep stinging, head hunting, wind pushing Assassin. Will there be inner harmony and myriad rainbows? But of course! Yuri&Lemon Find it on Fanfiction XD "Discovering Sanctuary" Chapter 2 is up ^_^

I prefer bow because of constant damage,,
but if you want faster hit, use slingshots

ppl use xbow because they want the max damage, but the damage range of xbow not suit my type of playing this char^^

If your choices for weapons had the same average dps and only varied on attack speed you should pick the sling for PVE (as dorky as they look >.>).

However, for lower to mid-levels you will be picking weapons based off lvl req and how much you can afford to invest in weapons, and not really weapon type. For example, most archers (hopefully) used the trial xbow for most of their 20's despite being "pve" and the trial xbow being an xbow (how suprising =P) which is the "worst" for pve. Why? 1) trial xbow is a quest reward and easy to get. 2) despite sling>>xbow for pve, trial xbow>>>anything else its level, unless you were lucky/rich enough to get the fb19 mold bow.

There is an archers weapons progression guide linked to Annor's archer sticky, reading that will be helpful. Though the increased price of Perfect Hammers will make geting you lvl 50 General Summers Long bow more expensive b:cry.

you don't really need to worry about weapon type until your getting into the TT chain.

I havent payed much attention during my progress, being that i played D2 most of the time, i prefer the bow overall... a sling, well, kinda reminds of Dennis the Menace >.<

Use mold slings only if you want to go that route. When I had the 42 sling, I went through same levels mobs so fast it was great.

69 Mold sling was even better with +aspd on it, and if you refine to +5, it'll serve you well into your 90's until you get hh90 sling (which I have now).

If you can find +aspd wrists and chest, use it when you grind! I use a -.1 wrist (general's bracers) and -.05 chest (armor of assassin) for grinding, and with a total of 0.80 atk/sec, I kill pretty fast without using too many skills.

I tested on level 96 spiders (~31k hp), and the Striker: Glare +6 with one G7 shard kills more mobs in the long run than a Blinding Radiance +6 with G6 & G8, and a Dream Crasher +7 with 2 G7's. Also, 95% of the time I would kill the mobs before they could cast poison on me with the sling, which saves hp & pots.
