Coordinates "Assistant" does it ever work?

4 times now I have tried to input the coordinates of someone i was seeking, most recently a Blacksmith who turned out to be in Etherblade. I input the coordinates exactly..xxxxxx into the box that pops up, gave it a name like I was asked to..and started to follow the blue arrow hoping it would lead to me to that person. Before you know it, I was swimming across an ocean following the stupid arrow and ended up in a town I couldnt even teleport out of where monsters mauled me in one hit. Someone was kind enough to fly me back to Etherblade or I would have been stuck there forever with no way out.

Today I tried again, inputting the coordinates for the walled fortress guard captain who I cant find anywhere in the fortress, and the mark on the minimap is on the outer rim again in the NE corner. I started follwing the arrow and soon I was far from the fortress...no guard captain in sight. I returned to the fortress angry because I didnt want to end up in the ocean again. What's the trick to making this stupid thing work??? Sorry, I'm frustrated:(...(lol)

Also, the greenish yellow or whatever arrow that always appears on my screen for tracking npc's. Why is it ALWAYS on? even when I dont track a quest or have anywhere to go?...Who the heck is it pointing me to? Another Ocean with red named Monsters?...lol

    Are you using the right format for the coordinates?
    I have always used the format "xxx, xxx" and it always lead me to the right place.

    I personally have never had an issue.

    Also, if it is a Quest NPC, moc, etc....click on the name/mob that you need to go to and you will be Auto-tracked there.

    It has always worked. Try this format (without the quotes of course): "123 456"
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
    Full of work and full of play-
    I dropped the worry on the way-
    And God was good to me everyday.

    The Coordinates Assistant has always worked for me as well; however, who thinks we deserve more than a maximum of 5? For trying to farm resources or herbs with the respawn time, 5 is ridiculously low in my opinion. b:angry b:angry

    I've had no problems with coordinates, just make sure you leave a space in between (105 111).

    Sometimes you may have an issue if the specific thing is inside and instance or on a different map such as OHT.
