How does one go about finding a party in this game for questing and such?
I am level 17 and I cannot use world shout btw.

press T for the Team Settings box. There is a little place in there for you to check a box that produces a message above your head saying "Level 17 XclassX seeking a squad". I always laugh when I see that though.
OR.. try talking to people who appear to be questing in the same area you are. There's bound to be plenty of people in the area. You may get lucky with a simple click of their character -> right click their head at the top of the screen -> click invite. But I hate random PT invites when I'm grinding, so they usually get ignored. You can try in normal chat while you are in the area and say "does anyone want to party up for XXX mobs/quest?" If no response, look for a player who looks like they need some help, and whisper to them about partying - they may be very greatful for the help.
and.. depending on your class (and the class you ask), you may find it very easy to get a party. Generally clerics are always wanted in a party, unless youre asking a venomancer - who doesn't really need one.I'm a man0 -
I am a tanking barbarian...also, when can I use world chat? what level?0

I think it is level 30. but I dont use it myself. I actually ignore it by staying in faction chat because I think its all a bunch of obnoxious and obscene spam.I'm a man0

The lack of a constructive way to find a squad is really starting to frustrate me...I am RARELY looking for a person to do just one quest with and thats all I can ever find. It's annoying.0

I feel your pain. I've raised two barbs and those first 20 levels are incredibly frustrating. But, once you get to an area where it is not just barbs and venos (after 20), it will get a lot better. You just have the bad luck to share your starter level areas with a class that (a) draws solo players and (b) tends to have issues with allowing a slow-killing, melee player enough mobs to level at all.
Soon enough, you will be in ana area with the classes who will want to party with you. And, eventually, you will be finding that you get so many invitations to tank something for somebody that you will look back on this thread an laugh."?" IS my avatar.0 -
Another way to get a party together quickly is to join a faction. Generally if your in a good faction your members will be willing to help you out since they know the hardships your going through.

Oh, I joined a great faction from level 1 lol.
However, I don't like bothering them to help me all the time.
Also, you are right, now that I'm in Arch, parties are easier to find.
Still haven't done any tanking yet though lol0 -

Lol dont worry about tanking things until around lvl 50+ to 60+ cause then your high enough to help solo some of the people fbs but its not good to you want a party so other people can enjoy the loot and exp[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

see... I disagree with having people 20-30 levels above the FB range being included on the FB runs. For one (even though it gets done faster and generally safer - unless you're a dimwit that misses a mob and lets the tabber get ganked) you are **** a couple things up. Firstly is the drops.. with a high level party doing an FB 19, there wont be any good drops for the tabber to walk away with. Secondly, your hurting the players chance to learn how to play their role (if they are a total newb to the game). Thirdly... and this may just be me speaking from my own experience ... its no fun to do an FB when everything is dead before I get to it (I even hate wined FB runs).
I crave a challenge, danger, and a learning experience so that I can turn around after a few levels and lead that same FB for someone else. FB 19/29 is the prime time for new players to learn what works and what doesnt. To learn how to pull those mobs out of a group so that everyone doesn't get ganked and killed. To learn to stay out of the lantern's AOE explosion. (I seriously wish more barbs and BM's would stop wasting their charms standing next to those things - and just let my pet kill it).
Nowadays with genies and bless boxes, and apparently much more affordable charms.. it should be no issue at all for a squad of 19-30 to run an FB 19.I'm a man0 -

I understand your pain, those lanterns can be a very large bothersome, plus the easiest way to learn to be a supporting cleric*from my own experience* is to grind with a high level fighter such as a BM, not a barb, too much heath. u also get tons of exp grinding with a high level[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
