Lvl 4 Taylor

I've been reading all the information I can find on this skill, but I can seem to find an answer to my question. I know that I need three specific 2* items and fine lumber before I hit lvl 50, however when I went to manufacture my 2* Stoneblood Bazubands, it came out a 3*. I was wondering if the NPC will take this, too. Thank you.
