Is there any way to lvl up spirit w/ lvling up exp?

I wasn't short on Spirit pnts till I reached lvl 16, then I didn't have enough for the spell I want. I don't want to lvl any more and qualify for more spells I cannot afford. This is with me not getting every spell offered and following someone's online guide as to what to get. To my knowledge, I haven't put spirit pnts into my genie either, but I'm still short 5,000.
Is there a way I can gain Spirit without also gaining Experience?

I believe you can transfer all your grinding XP to your Genie while keeping your SP.
Other way is to just die alot, you lose Xp but not SP when you die.
That being said, I don't think pausing leveling is a good idea. Leveling may seem easy now but you really will bemoan not having XP at later levels when SP comes more plentiful. Also, you get much more SP per mob at higher levels.0 -
You have to get a bit choosie about what skills you invest your spirit and coins into as for higher lvl skills the cost of both rises more and more and you wont have enough to lvl every skill up all at once.
Yea - feed XP to power hungry genie - good idea .. !!0 -

Best way I've found to do it is to start an alt. Whenever you find yourself short of spirit, simply stop playing that character. Log into it only to do Crazy Stone (maybe some other daily quests too, but CS is the quickest). You get a good amount of exp and spirit for doing CS. Dump the exp into a genie, and let the spirit build up. After the 10 minutes for CS are up, go play the alt the rest of the day. Repeat until you have enough spirit to level the skill(s) you want.
But yes, you're going to be drastically short of spirit starting about the 40s. You need to pick and choose which skills to level. From about the late 50s or early 60s, you'll find that the main constraint on your skill leveling is the coin it costs.0 -
Well, obviously you can't have all skills offered to your class. That's why it is important to think about builds and this does include both attributes and skills. Read the appropriate hints on builds for your class and choose the one that suits you and your style of gaming.
Once you have limit yourself to a certain build I found out that the game, especially quests, offer enough spirit to follow it through.0 -
youll have lots of time in your 40's to farm spirit cause you be grinding quite a bit for exp and if you like me coin cause if i sell my gold for coin it will really take fun away in the game for me, i enjoy having a goal while i grind besides exp and spirit
i suggest you read a guide on the forums is really good guide to get you an idea on a character build..0 -
You could even get a second genie and start pumping all of your exp into it. That way your spirit points will go up, but your genie will eat all of that exp.
I think I may try that myself. b:pleased0
