OK so my Noob question for the day is: Who, what and where is Jolly old Jones and how long will he be around? I have been searching around but have not gotten a clear answer to this questions. Thanks in advance.

Jolly Jones is A) in all starter villages (the little collection of houses where you started your adventures), he is, by all apperances, human, C) he is a guy who will trade either coins (100k) or a Guardian Angel for a Spring Pack, which can contain one out of various pieces of goodies - or a Rainbow egg, which has a small chance of containing a Ninetailed Fox Mount.0

yea right i give him 5 dolls for 250 blue egg from those spring packs b:angry ill never give him something again b:pleased0 -
Guess the GM told the truth then about some people giving him coin... there goes my argument about it taking one coin pack per 6.16 GA packs (at 205k gold) to even come out even on server coin.0

This seems like another way of tempting us in to spending more and getting less. Not only has it nearly doubled the price of guardian angels, it has also caused the " Gold Index " to climb drastically. These events are promoted to seem like they are " Giving back to the dedicated player ' and for a short time we might find the odds slightly in our favor. Ha it is so stacked against us that it effects the whole economy of Perfect World. The xmas event was the last event that did anything but annoy me. Keep trying guys0

Just to mention - the gold price on dreamweaver was *briefly* high enough that it was actually cheaper to pay him in coins.
It's gone back down to 250k now, though.0 -
Why complain about the gold prices? the gold is because people decide to use there RL money so dont QQ cause some1 wants to put it at 200k+, if it wasnt for them cash shop players then we wouldnt even have gold to get items...so you should be praising the people selling gold not scolding them, sad when people think there pixel coins are importantb:shocked...oh an this opinion is comming from a NON cashshop player..nub cakesb:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

...Wtf does this have to do with high gold prices?
Gold prices are high because people buy gold for GAs (for JOJ). =higher demand for gold=higher prices.
That comment was so ignorant and smug =.=b:shocked...oh an this opinion is comming from a NON cashshop player..nub cakesb:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

How does that work? People either have the option to buy angels for 30 silvers each or pay 100k coins for Jolly. In other words, Jolly is a gold sink when 30 silvers is worth less than 100k, and a coin sink when 30 silver is worth more than 100k.0 -
JoJ is god. Havent done a normal quest since lvl 46 thanks to him. And now have over 2000 "Heal 3000 hp/mp over 10 seconds" which will help me save more coin to buy more packs ;p0

Maybe 250 for a sell price. I haven't seen it go over 210 for a bid, mostly hovering between 197 to 205. Also, if it was cheaper to pay coins, that means gold went over 420k each based on DW prices (or atleast the ones my shop sells at). ~200 is very far from 420.0 -

lol what? seriously? You're lvl three and you don't know where Jolly Old Jones is? He's practically the first thing you see when you make a new character.0 -

I make it 370k per gold makes it cheaper to pay coin than gold. (370*2.7=1000k buys 10 angels, 1000k buys 10 jollies directly) - add in the tax and the coin is cheaper.
And yeah, it spiked there, and it's possible that the bids got withdrawn, but more likely that someone actually bought them. If you want gold for something OTHER than jolly, the supply has been running out periodically!0 -
I was actually using the wrong numbers there, whoops. GA's are 10 for 2.9 gold, so .29 gold or 29 silver each, that's 100000/.29=344828 coin, with the 2% fee that's a listed price of 338066, and since gold has to be listed in increments of 100 that's a price of 338100 and above for 100k to be cheaper.0
