Glitch with my New Archer?? Help

I created a new Archer this morning and I noticed something strange! The first time I equipped a weapon with ammo, I had that light green ammo icon indicating I needed to repair it! I just got it though!

I went to the blacksmith and it cost 80 to repair it. I then got the same icon when I equipped the crossbow not too long after but this time it said "nothing to repair"

Is this a glitch? The icon won't go away after I repair and why am I repairing so often? Makes no sense.

    Sure you're using the proper ammo? Bows use arrows, Crossbows use bolts, and Slingshots use shots. In addition, you'll get a "Take care of your equipment!" notice if you've dropped under 500 in equipped ammo.

    Yes I have dropped under 500 in ammo and I never had 500 ammo to begin with. I didnt know I had to keep that amount!

    Looks like I gotta buy some and hopefully that will solve that problem. :)

    Its better buying in bulks or you'll end up running out of ammo in the middle of a fight. I myself buy 20k each time i go as low as 2~3k or so.

    It shows that when you get below 500 arrows, meaning BUY MORE b:chuckle

    Nah, not neccessary to buy. By level 10 you should get ~1k of arrow from loot and KS. Well I don't advocate KS but many times people loot everything except arrow and then you can loot it. Of course, arrow from loot are lowest quality but better than nothing.

    That was def the problem since I had less than 500 ammo. I bought arrows and I pick them up from drops whenever I can. I also bought some arrows from auction that had attack attributes on them.

    False. Higher level monsters will drop better grade arrows/bolts/shots.
