how to lvl up pets skill

ive have the same pets for 20+ lvls now, so they are getting good, but they still have the same skills at the same lvl as they had when i tamed them

example: my crystalline magmite still has bash lvl 1

my friend said they was a way to lvl them up but i dont know how

    Go to Mrs Zoologist (in SE corner or Arch) and buy a Tame Book from her (costs 100K IIRC), then talk to her again and choose the option to upgrade a skill.

    Don't make the mistake of buying the Skillbook @ 300k...
