I'm always broke from buying MP pots. Is this the sad reality of being a wizzy or am I doing it all wrong?

I've seen it worked out that if you're using them regularly, MP charms are a better coin to MP ratio (but then, this was before this latest price hike).

Have you tried apothecary stuff? You can make that for yourself with very little farming!

Edit: I forgot about the Sesame event pots >_<.

Get in quick now and buy as many Seasame Yuanxios(sp?) as possible. 3000 MP for around 200-350 coins (on HT anyway) is a really good deal. Put into perspective a Gold MP charm has 900,000 MP and costs 4 gold (3 gold in a charm pack) at for arguments sake 160k per gold is around 640-480k per charm. 300 Yuanxio are the same and costs 105k at 350 coins per.

I used about 15,000 to level my way through 90-99 zhenning with Yuanxio :D. And the fact they can stack up to 9999 is just awesome.

at lower levels its just best to use an MP charm.

once u get to 59, you can use the advanced spark eruption to recover 10% mp. Its not much, but 10% is ok when you have MP buff on ya.

Still have to pot but it does save you some money

edit: buy the sesame while u can. its the best pot. now is a good time to buy them too
    omg im posting stuff.

The Seasames are gotten via trading in guardian angels at Jolly Old Jones who is located at the starting zones for all races. If you were ever to charge Zen now is the time. 53 gold will get you 180 angels and a bronze MP or HP charm. The odds on getting seasames is 10% which should net you around 3600 that's the equivalent of 12 gold MP charms.
There are a ton of other rewards too like lvl 6 shards (HP, pdef and matck all good for wizards), scarlet fruit and oracles. Most of which can be used now or sold a month or so after the event for 2-3 times what they sell for during the event.

Or have a look around the catshops in West Archo there should be alot of people selling them right now. Prices will start to rise after maint on Tuesday.

Actually Ty Jollies here for another week x_x

Event food is the best you can get, especially when it only costs around 350 coins each.

First of all thanks for all the help. And as noobish as this probably sounds I have to ask. What is an event? And also you mentioned before buying them for coin. Or perhaps you were converting the trade of GAs to Jolly Jones into coin?

Is event food what this Sesame Yuanxio is? You also mention price in coins. Do I buy it or do I trade GAs for it?

Thanks for all the info so far.

Buy it from cat shops in west arch, shops with EVENT in the name usually have several hundred for sale.

You can trade GA's for it though not sure if it is worth it with gold prices at 190k.

The current event is Jolly Old Jones, an npc at the starter villages near ether, plume and lost. You trade him GA's or pay 100k for a spring pack which can contain food, oracles, shards and esoterica's.

The cheapest MP i have found is to max out your mp buff, use water sheild and some apoth recovery items.. Find a place that the herbs spawn at, they always spawn in the same place give or take, and grind while you gather. Don't feel like meditating is for noobs, cause I do it at level 93.

With the MP buff leveled up you'll get more mp when you use the 2 spark 10% mp regen (3spark at 89 gives 20%) so you get more mp from it.

With mp regen apoth stuff your mp regen goes up but goes up even more in meditate. I can regen 13k mp in about 30-60 secs when I got my mp shield up and apoth powder that regens 100mp/sec. At lower levels 50mp/sec would be just as good as you would have 1/2 or so the mp.

With a little patience meditating once every 30 - 40 mins for half a minute you can say good bye to that mp charm and mp pot bill that haunts mage's so much. I was going through a gold mp charm in 2-3 days before I started using this method.

doing the same thing, but I consider the mana restore more efficient.
the 100mp/sec is actually good when meditating, then u take full advantage of it.
farm some herbs and make 3000, 6000 and 9000 MP restore/30 sec pots. These are extremely efficient, combined with double/tripple spark and water shield on, u can go on for a very, very long time, and everything is free.
