Attempting Tank Build

okay so i made a barb who is currently lvl 19, i just got done with my FB 19 and got my wepon from teh elder.... well i noticed i was way behind on str

Wepon; Str 61, dex 15

My stats: Vit 46, str 46 and 12 Dex


now my build is odd: 2 2 1 and even 3 2 then even 2 2 1 then 3 2.... this way i alternate keeping my Str and Vit Even....


Now for my Questio: Is it normal to be this far behind on Str being a full tiger form tank or what...?

    i wore my trial poleaxe at level 19 by adding a single dex to the suggested stats posted in the sticky.

    no, we barbs actually have more str than vit so u have to compensate

    No its not normal, you should be looking ahead at armor and weapon requirements, go on google and find ur next weapon, make sure u have enough str. Ive noticed for my past 3 weapons ive added Strength +5 for 7-8 levels then Dex 1 level and vit another, theres alot of strength required for hammer/axes. U will have alot more Strength than Vitality.

    yet another thing, WHY are you following a build? Barbs dont have a set Build, they dont work, add minimum strength and dex for ur upcoming armor and weapon, then pour rest into vit. Its really simple and alot easier than following a build.

    my build is - Even : 3 str 1 dex 1 vit , Odd: 3 str 2 vit

    i believe axes/hammers/poleaxe need 6 str every 2 lvls?

    Barbs are supposed to put only enough strength and dexterity to weild latest equips, and dump the rest into vit.


    However, if you prefer to follow a build, 6 str 3 vit and 1 dex every 2 levels is probably the closest thing there is to the proper tank.

    I've been dumping lots of stat points into dex... i wish those points were in vit and str. (*.*;

    yea if you keep your STR and VIT even you wont be able to use the latest gear because your STR is low
