I cant get the updates to download! help, im just a newb!!

I just downloaded to game.. now it say i need updates. ive been tryng to downlaod theupdatd for about 2 hours now.. it keeps saying file download error would you like to retry or update terminated..
i dont know what to do!! help?

    Make a coffee, the latter takes a while.

    Thank you! How long does this usually take? How often are these updates?

    how long it takes largely depends on your internet connection speed

    patches "normally" come out every fortnight, sometimes once a week if there are major bugs/glitches

    so, it said all updates were complete.. but when i restarted and tried to play, it said that i had to exit and update.. what am i doing wrong?
    i wen to maunual download, there were four patches so i downloaded all four.. help.

    I told you to download two of them. You need to use 1-52 and 52-166 (i.e. to get your version number up to #166).

    You need to open these patches (double click the 1-52 first, then 52-166) and it will update your client. It should work then.

    If you already did this all (you can tell by checking the Game Version number on the launcher - it should be 166), you should click the Verify button. It should work then.
