wardrobe and 'shattered gear'?

what is the deal with the wardrobe update?

"Your wardrobe is now carried with you. If you have already activated you wardrobe, open the inventory screen (b) and select the Fashion bag on the right hand side. This will bring up your wardrobe slots.*"

it sounds like it obsoletes the wardrobe in the bank, or does it give remote access to it?...anyone have a clue to this?


but what really bothers me is the "shattered gear"....whats up with that?? does that mean you have your gear for a set period, then it breaks, (unless you use some expensive item im sure would be for sale in the cash shop, im sure... :-P) i've been in a game where that was the case, and it was awful...

so many of the new things sound neat, but these two...b:sad

    The first one sounds like your clothing will be kept in a separate tab of your inventory, kind of like how your cupboard is currently a separate section of your main bank.

    As for the second one, no idea, but PWI will surely find a way to milk more real world cash out of it.

    Seems like that is mainly what its about anymore. Although that doesn't come as a surprise since this is a business.

    I'm hoping "shattered gear" is a new type of gear for us. There are currently 3 races with lots of different classes. I am hoping they might introduce a new type of gear ... there has been speculation that they are implementing another class. Eventually... either way.. sounds interesting.

    oh, yes, i remember now, seeing something about that. but the gear thing is worrysome. i used to play WonderlandOnline, and if your cash shop weapon broke, you had to buy this special glue from them to fix it. last i heard, that had been extended to high level weapons you made too....dont want to see that happen here!!b:shocked b:sad

    a new class? thatll kinda make me mad cause ive been lvl chars witht these classes

    I'd hate for them to implement a new class.

    If they make a new class it would either be

    a) Horribly overpowered
    b) Horribly underpowered


    I've yet to play a game where a new class was introduced and it wasn't one of the above.

    This is why I said speculation! Calm down ppls! I don't know it to be truth, I've just heard rumors. It would be nice if they had a new gear tho that was a little better balanced.

    You heard rumors, i.e it will never happen. From all the game's I've played I can tell you that a new class will not happen, at least not soon. This game isn't even a year old and yet people already are going crazy with rumors that they are going to:

    a) Add a new class
    b) Add a new race
    c) Add new gears
    d) Raise the max level
    e) Extend the map


    I've played a good amount of mmo's and typically these things don't happen until the game has been around for much longer.

    To me If I don't hear any of the above from the mouth of a G.M, it's not going to happen.

    Besides we don't need new classes or new equips, except maybe some form of light armor helmets.

    The Wardrobe thing sounds like something you will take with you and will only obsolete the bank version if you do not have much in the way of fashion and are not worried about dropping anything from PvP. However, it does sort of overshadow the bank Wardrobe from what I can tell.

    As for the shattering stuff...I have not heard anything about that at all. Linkage?

    PWI maybe, but Perfect World itself is much much older (maybe 4 years or so?), and at the rate PWI devs like to pack new **** into the game just to line their wallets, it's not farfetched.

    However, considering things like a bigger map or new classes were never introduced into the foreign versions, I doubt they'll be made available here.

    This game is far more than a year old. I also heard rumors of a new class from browsing PW china's forum.

    let me correct myself. PWI isn't even a year old.


    And if your just now hearing rumors from the chinese forums as in they haven't implemented a new class in PW-china then it will be years before we see a new class.

    The wardrobe IS the same one as your bank you, they are just changing it so it is now a tab in your inventory instead of in the bank, so you do not need to go to the bank to change from your grinding clothes, covered in blood, to your nice evening gown.

    It said "if you already have a wardrobe, you will just have to press B to bring up the inventory, and click on the wardrobe tab." Also, it will let you set your faction to auto-switch every so many minutes, for those that have LOTS of fashion and like to change often.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    fox i think youre taking the whole 'shattered gear' thing a little too out of context.
    maybe its like.. collect x amount of a junky gear to implement it into a better one. they had something like that on rappelz, where you'd salvage mats (and sometimes garbage) and after you had x amount of the mat, you could make a nice gear.

    have you asked a doctor about trying something like lorazepam? it controls worrying, nervousness, and anxiety, and doubles as a muscle relaxer and sleep aid. i looovveeee it. just if you do try it, take note, that it should be in small doses, as it can be highly addicting.

    im hoping its like my aforementioend post

    Calm down, it's a rumor, the rumor of new classes has been out since before this particular version of this game was made, if they DO make a new class then they do, if they don't they don't. Simple. You'll either quit or move on like everybody else.

    actually, yes, that is one of my daily meds. that and an antidepressant, pristiq. but playing is one of the ways to help me deal with lonelyness, and i can be creative, have pets that i can never have for real, and explore this beautiful world.
    ...and yes, its past time for my meds! ^0^ its update night, you know!b:chuckle

    I thought the mysterious gear slot was going to be for the thing that gives +10atk and +10def lvsl in FBs and such.

    Shattered gear sounds like a new quest line maybe, there's already insanely overpowered gear right beneath your noses. The npc style gear in Lunar Glade can have... insane adds.
    Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.
