Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that those marrows allow you to build chi while doing something else. The cooldown is only 10 seconds. BMs are the only class that can build chi while flying, running, and/or walking. You can be doing your business in town while using marrows and come out of town with full chi to begin grinding. The rest of us have to stop and spam a buff or pet heal to build chi which takes dedicated time.

MJ would start dancing in his grave if he heard thatb:shocked.
I'm not sure what's scarier - the fact that you don't like stormrage or the fact that you somehow think a zombie MJ has anything to do with it. o.O

That aside, I stand by my comment. Stormrage has its uses. It's by no means appropriate on every monster, but nothing which requires 2 sparks ever is. :P

Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

LigerKing (Barb), Girasole (BM), Shamsheer (Sin), ArborSoul (Mystic).

Alter marrows also have side effects to being used, severely lowering your defense to one type of attack. Hence for chi building they are only useful in safe settings where stuff will not be sneaking up behind you; for example, your on a pvp server and charging chi, you left alter marrow physical on, a wizard sneaks up on you while your magic defense is reduced by 30-120% or more. In combat they are only viable when what you are fighting is only using one type of attack, and something of the opposite type of attack is not liable to attack you at the same time.

As for our uses for chi, every 12-15 seconds of stunlock requires approximatly 135 chi (35 for lion roar and spark for drake bash), hence our stuns are entirely powered by chi, save aeolin or some sage/demon skill abilities. Ultimates like heavens flame require two sparks as well. We also use chi to move faster. Our most effective movement self buff/immunity to stun buff requires one spark, and each leaping skill requires 15-25 chi to use. So basically, our stunlocking, and a large portion of our movement skills, as well as ultis require chi. There are other uses of course, but those are probably the most major.

Bell can also be spammed for chi, tho it is severely mana inefficient to do so.

Cleric's most powerful attack skill requires two full sparks. (for those of you who dont know, Tempest)

Even tho not often used, one of Cleric's aoe requires one full spark (Sirens Kiss)

    Clerics Purify requires 20 chi.

Clerics BB requires two full sparks.

Clerics RB requires one full spark.

Cleric's Guardian Light (79 protective skill) requires one full spark.

Cleric's Wings of Protection (79 protective skill) requires 20 chi

Clerics Plume Shell requires 20 chi, I believe.
I think you've just answered the question raised in this topic.

All male barb class + female clerics that need chi + embrace = win

Roll a barb on Sanctuary for hot cleric action. b:kiss
