wings - which ones?

do i upgrade flight mastery or should i do the quest at lvl 30 for eagle wings?
i am not buying wings in the cash shop.

also why do archrs not need magic cause thier attacks drain it a lot.
also how come you shouldnt upgrade take aim it does a lot of damage i find

    Eventually everyone will buy some cash shop wings off another player. Natural wings can be upgraded to be faster but drain MP.

    Magic does not help do more damage for archers and archers are all about doing damage.

    If you dont upgrade take aim you can cheaply use a technique called take aim canceling to build chi faster (by firing take aim early). Really if you use take aim as an opener frequently you still want to upgrade it.

    Asterelle I expected better from you since you wrote guide on it.
    Natarul Wings can't be upgraded.

    I would get the eagle wing as you will need them if you get cash shop wing you can always sell them.

    The normal white wings can be upgraded to max speed of 7 m/s with the skill flight mastery at lvl 54, but they drain your mp if you don't have a mp recovery+ accessory.
    The Eagle wings only fly at 5.5 m/s. (you can accelerate to a speed of 7.5 m/s but that's expensive because it costs Chi stones)

    So it depends on how fast you want to go. If you don't mind the slow speed and want to save Spirit Points just use the Eagle wings, else max the Flight Mastery Skill and use the white wings for traveling and the eagle wings for air combat. That's what I do and it works pretty well.


    If you use Take Aim frequently you might as well upgrade it. I don't know if the damage will be better than other skills at higher lvls because I left it at lvl 3 or so. xD; I found myself using Frost Arrow more regularly.

    And if you have a lot of problems with your MP, you could try to find some gear with MP+ effects to boost your MP. Or when you're grinding use Focus Powder, that helps a lot. It can be manufactured at the Apothecary. Alternatively you can buy MP charms from other players, but you won't have the coins for that in the lower lvls I guess.

    This idea will fade away after your late 30s, so don't worry! The higher the your level, the less mana you will need (for PvE at least, with the exception of zhenn and alike, of course).

    I used Frost Arrow because of the slow effect on mobs and the long casting time of Take Aim. ...until I learned Deadly Shot, now I use this. b:pleased

    Take Aim still is a good opener. I think it's personal preference on what you're using. Use what you find more useful or what works best for you.

    yea.. i used Take Aim as opener.. bcuz @ lvl 8 it takes almost half of da mobs HP and used frost 2 slow down then normall shot so i hardly ran out of MP.

    It is +2.0. Some people have suddenly decided to become confusing and include everyone's undisplayed default flight speed of +5.0 and the +2.0 of the wings itself then announcing speed of the wings as your total flight speed which of course is false.

    So yes, it is +2.0m/s lol.

    I recently started an archer, and concerning wings I was wondering, the wings you get at level 30 from the flying quest, what speed do they go? And at what level can you wear them? Does it have to be 30? Or is that just when you can recieve the quest?

    lol yea, sorry about that. I thought it would be more convenient to see the actual flight speed instead of just the wing bonus in this case. I should've phrased my sentences a bit differently to make it more clear that I was talking about the total flight speed, not the wing bonus. b:surrender


    So yea..
    White Wings: +0 to +2 m/s depending on the lvl of the Flight Mastery skill
    Eagle Wings/lvl30 Quest Wings: +0.5 m/s (+2.5 m/s accelerated which costs Chi stones) - they're not affected by Flight Mastery

    The base flight speed of every character is 5 m/s.
