'Corrupted File' error needs to be fixed!

I have sent in a few tickets with no response about the error in downloading the manual patch 144-161. After downloading, it comes up with an error saying 'Corrupted File'. I have seen many people on the forum with the same problem yet none of the GMs have addressed this issue apart from leading us to the patch info which tells me nothing about how to fix this problem. If anyone could post some "helpful" info on how to fix it, that would be most appreciated.

    Have you tried Verifying the Files?

    Make sure that you are using the right patches.

    If you did a fresh install, you need the 1-52 base, the the 52-161 patch.

    Try downloading from one of the mirrors too.

    It is a larger patch file, so you must have a stable and fast broadband internet connection.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    yes i have tried just about everything except for uninstalling the whole thing and reinstalling it. Will try that next I suppose

    Try downloading the manual patch from one of the mirrors, my link is in my signature.

    Keep in mind those are larger patch files then usual.

    Also, make sure you are using Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 3.0+ to download the patches with, for less chance of issues.
