Hello I was thinking about rolling a Venomancer to see what they can do. I enjoy that they are like a crossbreed between a Warlock and druid :P.
Was just wondering what a good build for a Veno would be and if I should use Arcane or leather. Any hints, information id need about a Venomancer would help ALOT and would be great fully appreciated.

It depends on what you want to do with your veno, and what you're looking for.
There are four veno builds that have been extensively researched (if not extensively used):
1) Arcane armor (or AA)
2) Light armor (or LA)
3) Heavy armor and arcane armor (HA/LA)
4) Heavy armor melee veno (HA)
AA is the easiest to build. AA gives a bunch of magic defense, and very little physical defense. It requires 3 points magic (MAG) per level and enough strength (STR) to wear your current robes and magic weapon. The rest of the points can be allocated where you choose. The most popular builds are pure, where the remaining points are put into MAG, and vit/vitality, where the remaining points are put into vitality, either all or some of them. Here is a guild for this build.
LA is a pretty strict build. LA gives moderate magic and physical defense. It requires 3 points MAG, 1 point STR, and 1 point dexterity (DEX) per level, no deviations, in order to wear both light armor of your level, and a magic weapon of your level. You're looking for hit point and vitality modifiers on your armor. There is no specific guide to this build, but that's about all you need.
HA/LA and HA both use heavy armor. HA gives lots of physical defense but little magic defense. These are the toughest builds to build, and HA/AA especially is only recommended after level 70 or so. HA/AA uses both heavy and arcane armor, and accomplishes this by using stat bonuses from equipment. This requires quite a lot of restatting and often uses expensive or rare armor pieces to enable the build. Furthermore HA/AA has no set stat allocation in particular. Here is a guide for HA/AA.
HA build uses melee weapons and builds somewhat like a blademaster, from what I understand--Kittenice is a good person to talk to about this, I think she is on Heaven's Tear server? But she is active here on the forums. The difficult part about this build is that venos are usually a caster class, and so all of our skills require us to either be barehanded or using a magic weapon. Beyond that, you'll want to talk to a melee veno as I really can't tell you too much about it.
It's a generally accepted premise that AA is a good build for PvE, while LA or HA/AA are better builds for PvP, but you can do both PvP and PvE with any build.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I personally use an arcane veno, and it has worked out well so far. I am able to tank bosses well above my level with my herc. However, I do intend to switch to LA once I start doing TW's, as it is more balanced and IMO much more versatile in a group PVP situation, or any PVP situation for that matter.
Here is a link to Tear's excellent guide if you would like to roll an arcane veno.

Your typical arcane Veno build is 1str,1vit and 8 mag. every 2 lvlsLooking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

Fixed b:surrender
You can also get LA/AA hybrids, but there's nothing you have to change in building a regular
LA veno. It's just popping on robes, some preffer it for the higher mag def :x
By the way, someone with a good knowledge base and experience desperatly needs to write a guide
specfically targeted for LA venos, and maybe even a melee one.(Kittennice <)
But uh yeah, my input:
On top of what Alphae said, it's generally far better to start off as arcane venomancer. Once you get a feel for the class and skills; if you felt like starting PvP and you thought that your arcane build wasn't going to cut it you could then consider a Light or Heavy type hybrid/build.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

"Chobsi the only thing your good at is making your character look good, otherwise your fail"
"Did that 95 BM just kill himself to your Herc? Mmm..Yep"
"Oh that thing I thought was a statue, it 1 shot me, switch to your cleric please"
"So that Hercules guy from the disney movie really aged well.."

Being one LA/AA hybrid (Minmaxing)
LA armor lacks Mag / Mp bonuses so you try to find the equilibrium
I only go for arcane arms (some boots are worth, not all)
I Always keep legs / Torso LA
If you wanna PVE => all ornaments should be elemental
If you PVP go for PDef ones
at 80+ you have 2100 + Pdef / 5400 + Mdef / 2500 + Hp
Refining equipement is a mustI look at all the trollers, and Pvpers.. and know they wouldnt have lasted 30sec on Camelot.
Rules= Know your enemy (players and NPCs) gives you more chances to survive.0
