As I'm waiting for this crazy patch to download I figured I'd ask if anyone has gotten one yet on any of the servers??
Also, I wanna see how much people have spent so far trying to get one! So, this is the official Lion announcment page- if you see anyone get one, say who and the sever, and keep us updated on how much you're willing to spend on this very fine mount, rawr.

I've seen announcements for the lion once on Harshlands. Saw it twice in person, dunno if it was the same one or not.
I'll be spending a grand total of 1 gold on trying to get one - it's all I have left right now. I figure four chances is good enough for me, I'd just like to see what comes out of the egg, Lion or not

I recommend buying the eggs from boutique and reselling them for coin. I spent $20 and got:

I was considering putting $50 into it just to try for a lion. But then I decided my love for the lion wasn't worth it due to low chances.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Some mounts SHOULD be rare and kept rare.
They can't make everyone happy, and not everyone should be given a Supply Stash Warsoul weapon at lvl 100 either.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

At least GMs are fair here and don't modify the drop tables of monsters to remove things like mold drops and then use the items normally publicly available in Item Mall contests like a company I won't name.0

I personally like rare mounts, they make the game more interesting for me because I love rare things.
But I think I'm vexxed about how MANY rare mounts there are. So far since I've been playing, there has been two flying mounts each class added permanently, but there have been NO land mounts. I'm getting really sick of how every single new land mount is limited edition or a super rare prize. I'd really like some sort of new permanent land mount just so I don't have the six most boring mounts to choose from if I want a cheap one. Options are vital. b:chuckle0 -

Ack!! 25 mil? That's all? I've seen the cheapest lion on HT go for 65mil. I would have bought that 25mil one in a heartbeat. I love the lion..0 -

I hate that a mount that rare is now everywhere. I know in one day there are at least 4 people who won the lion. Of course I guess this coming from having a lion for months and loving the fact that I was constantly passing them everywhere I run. Maybe I should have sold it when I was offer 65million, because after this week it won't be so rare anymore.0

It's plenty more than four - upwards of ten since the sale began. I saw several while travelling Arch, whereas before it was a rare thing to even see one. They also cropped up in Hidden Orchid, and all three Racial cities.
Lions may be a 'rare' mount, but they're certainly not an endangered species on HT anymore...0 -
So you consider ~10 mounts of the same kind on one server not rare anymore?! (for today that is xD)
The mount will still be rare. It will never be as common or easily obtainable as one you are or were able to buy directly from the shop.
Also you don't know how many people bought which amount of eggs in an attempt to get that mount. You only see the few people who are announced who got the lion in one of their eggs. It's still really hard to get and you have to be pretty lucky. ofc more than one Lion will be around on each server (at least I knew of only 1 person on Dreamweaver owning it before the egg sale) but when the egg sale is over the price of the mount will go up again because nobody knows when we'll get another chance to obtain the Lion.
If the only intention of a player is to sell their rare mounts for a high amount of coins they really don't deserve it imo. (applies if they won it from a contest for example because with the eggs now we can't control who gets the mount and who doesn't)0 -
